What is "Forever Freddy" and "Snare build" freddy?
Hello people of the fog.
I have been trying to return to dead by daylight, and decided to educate myself on new metas while I am trying to fix an error that won't let me play.
In the forums I've seen talk about two builds for Freddy that are very strong. Those being "Forever Freddy" and something to do with snares, I forgot it's exact name.
EDIT: The purpose of this post is, what are these builds and how are they overperforming? I used the search feature but could not find any information.
I saw that generally people like Freddy as he is, but these builds are causing his excessive win rates.
If you would also please look at this forum post, because myself and the OP have been waiting for a response to this error message. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/864504#Comment_864504

Not sure about snare freddy but forever freddy is as follows.
Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Pop, and Ruin. Ruin can be swapped out for sloppy to keep people injured but thana and dying light are the most important there.
As well as his swing chains and jump rope addons be present.
This gives freddy a silly amount of slowdown going on once he gets going.
The build is beatable but requires a quick early game on the survivors part. As the game goes on the build gets stronger and stronger and it feels like gens are impossible to finish with the slowdown effect as well as him pop-ing gens.
Things can be switched around a bit but that's the general idea behind forever freddy.

Forever Freddy has already been said above, as for the Snare Builds it focuses more on the swing chains + swing rope add-ons that decrease players action speed in the dream state, while also cutting off a lot of loops due to the snares slow down speed and practically zero counter-play at the loop they're placed at.
It also has something to do with the block add-ons that cause blindness, Hemmoraging, etc. But most people use Snares with the Forever Freddy build to make games incredible long and tedious tbh...
