What's going on with the DCing tonight?
I am alone to play tonight and i decided to practice the killer skills. Not really used to play Killer so... its the 5th game i play and each one of them i had 2 DC. I down one hook, (i play the Hag BTW not sure it has something to do with it) and bang the guy DC and another player also (i guess his friend).
5 games in a row... it does not happen when i play survivor, maybe one, once in a while..

survivors dc basically every match. Either, without warning or telling you before the match they are going to dc immediately,as their username implies also (Iliketodc , HexDc, ImmaDcImmediately, DC or Not DC, Time to DC, No hatch DC, Myers then Dc etc..quite ridiculous) and then proceeding to do so. It's so ridiculous that I have calculated it at being approximately 2 dcs per match over a 5 hour period (about 25-30 games).
5 dcs ..that's really nothing. You have it lucky, so I'd count your blessings.
Just ignore them and let them carry on. IN about 2 weeks or so the new patch will go live and they will eventually either stop doing this, or move onto other games since they will be banned constantly (exponentially increasing with each offense).
Friend of mine informed me that some rival companies pay gamers to sabotage online games. I guess they figure no one wants to play a game where people dc constantly, and the community is 90% toxic trolls. Seems believable.

Sorry i should have said it but im on Consol, So there is no chat to warn before. Its just crazy. I played Killer before and never had this issue. tonight its insane, i played 4 more game and still had 2 DC on 3 out of 4... Don't play if you cannot handle being hooked. There is always someone being hooked at the start of the game. Some times it you some times its someone else.

Some people are bad sports and DC because they're not winning. It's the video gaming equivalent of flipping the table.
Some people just don't like Hag and don't want to play against her, especially since it became common knowledge that she has one of the highest killrates in the game.
Another possibility has to do with the challenges at the moment. There is one challenge which requires survivors to survive without being hooked while using Spine Chill, which in my opinion is a bad design because once you get hooked, you've already failed the challenge. This means a lot of survivors attempting it are either killing themselves or disconnecting the first time they're hooked, so that could be contributing to your experience as well.

Lmao which exactly "rival" company would sabotage DBD? There is no games like it so there is no competition.
This community is just inherently toxic and there is plenty tools in the game to help you be toxic.

Just Survivors quitting the match when it isn't "fair" or "fun."
Anyways, the new DC system will take care of this in Chapter 14. Once it rolls out, if you DC in-game intentionally, than you'll be given a matchmaking cooldown penalty. Each new DC after will keep adding to this cooldown until you reach a DC threshold and be given a ban or what have you.
Sadly, this seems to be very common at the moment. Probably because the new system will void this problem, so people are getting their DCs in while they can or something. But, do not fret! This issue will eventually be resolved.

It's just a coincidence that it was 5 games in a row, I've had that happen to me before actually... it isn't as uncommon as one might think!

Like i said, i played killer before and it was never like that, but damn that night, 18 games in a row and i got 2 DC on 15 on them.... crazy!!!
I saw the info on patch 3.4, but im affraid player will just let themself die on first hook. At least you will get some more point for the emblem but still...
Anyway its not enough to drive me away from the game now, i like it too much and im learning too much to not like it, Every game has his problem. There was a lot of ######### like that in RB6 also that i have been playing for years. Any rank from Bronze to Plat 1 it was the same damn issues lol
I can see that BHVR are taking care of the game so as long as they show they are working on the game im good to deal with anything.
But damn .... that night was bad lol

We all get those nights, people DC and it's mostly for no reason at this point.
Sadly, there isn't anything you can do about it. And the DC penalty will cause people to die on hook yes, but they can actually track suicide by hook as well... so if people do that than they'll most likely receive punishments for that as well.
So fret not, all is not lost. But at the moment you'll have to endure.
