But they don't want to give Survivors the same ability to have the Killer end up with no advantage, nor do they want to remove that ability from the Killer to have them end up with no advantage.

They don't lose the advantage they get. They still get to see what items are being brought and adjust accordingly. The only thing they lose is being able to grief a survivor they are mad at from a past game.

They don't want to give the Survivors that kind of advantage like the Killer has, an exclusive thing for the Killer.

It's fine as it is. Survivors were never meant to know who they're up against, but the Killers were.
