How are players reviewed for reports?

I'm just curious has behavior ever stated how they review reports?

Do they have a way of recording games and looking at what actually happened, or are they just basing judgment off a bot, or stats.

Reason why I'm asking is because of the quit=ban new update I'v now had two game where were the killer and 1 survivor where farming. By that I mean the killer focused on killing two players then would down the last one (me) and allow his friend to flashlight him. This cycle would happen over and over again until I was seconds away from bleeding out. MIND YOU, YOU ONLY BLEED IF YOU ARE DOWN, and he would immediately pick me up once he hit me. so this happened for about 15-20 mins. I just afked after the third or fourth time, and had to wait due to fear of being baned if I d/c.

end result is that im the only one who is gonna put in a report after game cause the other two left lobby after they died and it started happening. I doubt my voice is even gonna be heard if im the only one to say anything in that game. If I have to Ill start recording games for things like this, and post them but its extremely frustrating that I no longer have a way to leave a toxic game because im being held hostage.

Firstly, the new system (PC and Switch only) will not ban you if you disconnect from a game. It will just lock you out of the matchmaking queue for a short while, and the lock-out will only escalate if you continue to disconnect from multiple games within a short space of time. The current system (which will remain in place on Xbox and PS4) will ban you for disconnecting, but only if you disconnect from a high proportion of the games you play (I believe the threshold is around 75%). I'm not going to encourage you to do it - unless there's literally no other way for you to leave the match - but rest assured, you will not be banned immediately for a single disconnection.

To answer your question, it depends on what the player is being reported for. It's not public knowledge exactly what information BHVR does and does not have access to, but they generally will not punish players for anything they do ingame without video evidence to back up the report. What they have said in the past about the way they review reports is that they do process every report they receive, and they do investigate the report if it appears to be legitimate. Exactly what form the investigation takes likely depends on the type of report, and as I said, the details aren't public knowledge.

So in your case, if you believe someone is doing something reportable, such as working with the killer to grief their teammates or holding the game hostage, you should file a report in the post-game screen, but you should also submit a support ticket with video proof of their wrongdoing. The devs as a general rule don't ban anyone if there is any doubt whatsoever that they might not have done anything wrong, so it is very unlikely that the person will be punished unless you back up your claim with solid evidence.
