survivors should have weapons to fight back
they should add weapons for survivor so when they are being chased they can just turn fight instead. ad a whole emblem for it .

Pallets, FireCrackers, Flashlights, head on, defensive strike
Adding weapons would be funny though
Imagine getting a baseball bat against the legion

Seriously, when are we getting guns for survivors?
7 -
We have F13: The Game for that.
I quite like DBD how it is.
24 -
Can't you slam Killers with Pallets, stab them with Decisive Strike, headbutt them with Head On, blind them with Flashlights...
29 -
yep totally would love it also survivors should be able to mori killers :p
5 -
Ok...but why?
2 -
That would be lame.
It would ruin the game and take the scares out of it.
The best weapon is your mind.
5 -
yeah like a peace of lego you can drop and if the killer steps on it he get stunned for 1min!
5 -
You trying to murder someone with those? 😂

Looking for a medkit, instead finds a double barrel.

One of the key elements I like about DbD is that Killers don't need to worry about getting attacked. They are unstoppable; Survivors' only defense is to avoid the Killer. One reason I don't have much interest in those other games is that Survivors can hurt the Killer, and in some games they can even hurt each other.
It's the sense of being a real predator that makes playing Killer fun for me. Sure, it's possible the Survivors all escape. But that's all they can do... escape.

Last year was awful, you can attack the killer but there is zero threat a lot of the time because they just swarm and baseball bat club you to death in like 5 seconds or less lol.
Last thing I want is trash gameplay like that messing up other games I do actually like.
1 -
can't you also respawn for the ammount of time you want?

If we ever get "normal"-item firecrackers, flareguns, guns or flashbangs, they better be doing friendly fire.
Throw that firecracker wrong, boom yourself and dwight blinded like a killer.
Friendly fire should also be a thing for flashlights.

I think it’d be a fun idea for event... survivors can take/bring guns that only stun the killer (not kill) in exchange that for bringing them they’re instantly mori’able without needing to be hooked lol.

"Friendly fire should also be a thing for flashlights."

Well, some survivor would then know why its anoying :).

Sure
As long as Legion gets an AK-47

How about a Noooo, Scotty.

last year comes tomorrow, you can fight back there. im gonna try it, the spider killer looks awesome.
0 -
You get a flashlight.

I've always wanted to hit a killer with my toolbox after I've used it ^^

Survivors respawn very quickly if you don't kill them all in very quick succession.
Also killer is a mess of having to spawn and depawn.
Also the devs are shady thieves and that steam version will be abandoned after initial sales just like the discord one was too; they won't do anything about any of it's problems.
They are proud of the fact the new steam version disables voice chat, because they had to remove it because nothing kills the mood then everyone telling the killer to go kill himself WHILE HE IS TRYING TO PLAY in VOIP where they can't be punished unless recording software is used, and the killer suddenly is the voice of some near crying 13 year old kid who is just having a tantrum.
I think last year was one of the worst video games I have ever played, no aspect of it was redeeming; this isn't as a DBD fan either I have a lot of issues with DBD but at least it's devs are not completely and morally bankrupt and the game functions on a playable level.
All Last Year has is that it looks nice; and even then you have a spider that throws down mechanical bear traps for some reason, it's so inconsistent...
sorry /rant I get going because I REALLY wanted to like that game, but it was just a disaster from the beginning.

Yes, as killer I have always wanted to be swarmed and beaten to death by survivors with bats and then have them butt dance on my corpse.
Let's do this!
3 -
I mean they reduced the amount of pallets massively so I think having a weapon or finding one on the map wouldn't be a bad idea.

DS uses an improvised weapon and all it does is stun the killer if they are getting re-hooked, and it's already one of the most aggressive, in need of changes perks in the game.

Meme thread. Gorgeous

Only if we can Mori you off the bat. That seems fair enough.
1 -
Nea's mori would be extremely gruesome
1 -
oh no. please not another F13.
0 -
Rather than survivors having proper weapons it should just be a killer vs killer mode
0 -
Damn right, friend.
1 -
Survivors do have weapons. They're called perks and items.
1 -
We need a Mori for survivors. They all surround the killer and T-bag while the killer cries in the fetal position.

Some killers should not even be a threat to survivors. You trying to tell me the bunch of uppity teens that is the Legion would have the likes of David King, Jeff etc running for their lives?
Hell Laurie Strode and Quentin would kick their asses. They've gone toe to toe with Michael and Freddy and survived.

You answer shows that you have no experience with people in frenzy and real knifes.
I don't know how it is in your country, but sometimes in small shops in my country you can buy knifes.
I had 1 time do it by myself, but this knife is really laughable. The knife I had bought is made out of weak materials and probably I could break it in half. It almost feels like a Cosplayer-weapon, back in the days where no Cosplayers have exist :).
So I get why you think that a knife is not terrifying.
However a complete difference to that is as example a army/combat knife. If you hit with such a knife someone, he will definitely be heavy injured, or maybe even dead, because of the length of that army knife and used materials and also the sharpness.
And what frenzy matters...
Well ask people that work in psychiatrics.
The people that go in full rage mode even without a weapon, don't feel pain while they attack or getting attacked, are faster and stronger as a normal guy and usually need 3-4 Caregiver with sedatives to get them down...
Well that are the Legion guys.
Just ask a random Caregiver about those guys, usually everyone of them learn to know such guys after a while in the job.
1 -
Them legos are no joke... damn stepping on one is awful
0 -
Two things;
1. I don't care if someone feels pain or not. If someone is stronger than you and can handle themselves then you're going down. They are going to knock that knife (or broken ruler 😁) out of your hand and knock your ass on the ground.
2. Legion can down survivors even when they are not in frenzy mode. Out of all the killers they are the most implausible to physically dominate these survivors even in the confines of a fantasy world like Dbd.
Most of the other killers I can buy being as fearsome and physically dominant as they are. Some are supernatural, some are monsters, some are massively physically imposing or have abnormal superhuman strength. Nothing about the Legion's back story suggests they are anything special. Just a group of teen vandals who killed one person between the four of them, and even then it was Frank who forced them to do it.
I know people hate the Legion nerfs, and it does suck for Legion fans, but honestly it feels apt they are the weakest killer in the game because against the likes of Trapper, Myers, Freddy, Hag, Spirit etc they are out of their league amid this clan of monsters, supernatural beings, pro serial killers etc. They're just a bunch of teenage hooligans. Their backstory is the least impressive to me.

To your first point: That's ok, if you ever face a guy in frenzy, he will also not care if you have experience with guys like him or not (I would be surprised if he even realize something besides his anger).
But if you like to research 1 time a little bit about it - There are tons of storys of such guys from psychiatrics (especially the ones with former inmates from jails in it), jails and rumors you hear if you go often out in at least run down discos and so on.
Honestly, I would not like to face any of the dbd killers. They would in reality even more horrorfying as in reality - because there are no stuns and weapons are dangerous.
If you got hitten in real life by the big axe of the huntress as example, I assume you can call yourself lucky, if you can still walk after that. No matter were she hits you with that thing.

doesn't legion have the strength of all four teens?

Clearly you've never worked with psych patients. I have, and you couldn't be more wrong if you tried.
Edit: Never mind, I read your second post. You're actually capable of being more wrong. Look. The best defense against a knife is your feet. And by that I mean outrunning them. I know people on the internet try to act tough, but I know for a fact that you've never dealt with an assailent wielding a knife. Because if you did, you wouldn't be so laissez faire about it. Safely disarming someone using a knife with an intent to kill you, with your bare hands no less, is nigh impossible. Regardless of size or skill. Period. And when it does happen? That's the exception, not the rule. For every successful disarming there are scores more people who were maimed or killed. Usually by people much, much smaller than them. So sod off with that fantasy Rambo shite.
And I personally think Legion's storyline is interesting for the reason you disliked it. They AREN'T special. That was the point. Anyone who made the wrong decisions, with the wrong people, could end up like them. Hence the title "Darkness Among Us". Just because you personally don't like them, doesn't make them less interesting.
1 -
Ignorance is bliss for you. You don't have to have worked with psych patients to have been attacked by a nut case with a knife. I have been. I know what its like. You sit there trying to dictate what I haven't faced in my life. You're something else.
Second, what I said had nothing to do with "Rambo shite". Its basic common fact. Look up any instruction video on how to defend yourself from a knife attack, and its got nothing to do with running away, and is perfectly possible with your bare hands e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGcxtaLO4Bg
Finally, I say the Legion storyline is less interesting because it was just four vandal teens who killed one person between them. You hear of thugs like this every day. Boring, uninteresting, and the fact that three of them had to be coerced into it by Frank makes it even less impressive, and leaves me wondering why the Entity even wanted them. So to paraphrase you again; just because you personally like it doesn't make it interesting. Its my opinion that its uninteresting, I've given reasons why I think its uninteresting, so don't come crowing to me that what I think is any less valid than your equally subjective opinion.
Now if you're going to respond to me again, drop your hostile attitude or I'll get a moderator in here to sort you out.

Killers could use a beating now and then. Pallets and firecrackers are definitely NOT enough. The firecrackers even have friendly effects 😂 so what kind of crap is that? Give us a baseball bat to stun, knock him on his behind. Not kill the killer just larger durations on the stunning. Let him know survivors aren’t playing around we got work to do! We got gens to repair back off!

That’s true I do like that about DBD, survivors can’t fight back they can only... wait what? can they really escape though? I feel like that’s why people want weapons because escaping a lot of the time feels like an unrealistic thing. There’s too much to do and it doesn’t take a smart killer to kill everyone which makes the game kinda broken. I think it needs to be harder on the killer. More ways to stay alive for the survivor. Maybe not fight back but more hiding places, bigger map, make the killer actually work harder. 4 survivors and 5 generators is too much sometimes because the killer always gets one and then camps on the hook. It’s not balanced.
