And we're tired of people trying to refute it. Gen's simply get done too quickly. You may not like the term, but it came about due to poor balancing on the dev's part.

Just because it's optimal doesn't mean we can't apply names to the strategy with the appropriate definition.
Gen rush and optimal play are not mutually exclusive. I expect you to gen rush and in a strategy discussion would encourage you to do so. The only context where I'd say gen rushing is bad is when discussing balance, at which point it would be to slow it down, not to prevent it entirely.
