Doing gens is boring

You stand there for over a minute pressing a button and occasionally pressing another button. May not look like much, but at the long term it adds up. At least give different kinds of skill checks or even some kind of mini-game to make it more interesting.
Those maze games where you can't touch the maze walls come to mind, maybe some adaptation of that?
