Ummm what changed? Why is the....
Wraith being talked about as being a top tier killer now?

Its a tru3 thing lmao.

Tru3. He got the opinion wraith is really good with a certain build. That's honestly the only reason people got that opinion.
9 -
One person with a following said it so clearly it’s true. Right?
...I feel like that same person deciding to not play killer anymore for a while within a week kinda shows how subjective to the single game that opinion is...
17 -
Spot on. I wonder if he's trollin. 🤔

Otzdarva's released a video today too haha:
1 -
It's from Tru3. Apparently Wraith is top 3 material, and in my opinion, a Wraith main since January 2018 when I started playing DBD, that couldn't be more wrong. Wraith is high C-tier at best.
13 -
Well he aint wrong. Not right either. Wraith was never really ######### tier. This just adds proof that more than 5 killers are viable in red ranks.
2 -
OTZ explains the topic very well
16 -
Every killer is top tier as long the player behind it is capable of it. Thats how killer side works. Learn, git gud, be viable.
14 -
Wraith's a M1 killer that can be completely neutered by bad map rng.
Like it or not Tru3's opinion influences a lot of players. If he says something is viable a lot of people are going to believe him and copy. This is just the flavor of the week. That's all.
7 -
Because Tru3 said so, even though he's always running an ultra rare addon with windstorm I think? Plus an anti-healing build. Wraith sounds really "viable"
6 -
Tru3 did say so and also played Wraith for a day and won like 17 out of 18 times or something
I know he's not liked a lot here but honestly you can't argue with his results
4 -
It's the same argument when they use the same person's video's regarding gen rush and people state its not valid.
How well one can play dictates how well you will do. The video posted by @Echorion explains it much better.
All killers are in fact viable in the right hands. It's not about any specific killer but your skill and knowledge versus the skill and knowledge of who you are against.
6 -
Otz is such a great guy. Polite, level headed, tries to see both sides of an argument.
17 -
Don't take it seriously, He had some good games with Wraith and thinks he's a powerhouse now. Any Killer can do well against a not so great team that doesn't make them strong.
Wraiths power is basically a sometimes free first hit, Semi-invisibilty that wont work against someone who knows how to play aswell as a slight speedboost to help traverse the map. Compared to the top Killers that's nothing. Wraith by comparison isn't a strong killer.
3 -
I'm not convinced that Wraith is good, but I've seen him use Bone Clapper to make his point to show that it's not just Coxcombed Clapper.
4 -
I didn't know that. I don't think wraith is awful, I just don't think he's as good as Tru3 says he is. You can do well with any killer at red ranks though, most survivors aren't amazing god-like teams
1 -
18 games in 1 day
17 4 k's
Addons used ranged from yellow to ultra rare
If you think those 17 teams that lost are all bad then maybe you should lower your estimate of the avarage survivor
Perks is irrelevant, why would you test the viability of a killer and use subpar perks?
You can't argue with the results
Wraith is strong if played correctly
Maybe not top 3, maybe not even top 5 but well equiped to win
4 -
Exactly. The problem is there are what 19 killers now. Most people main maybe 4 or 5. Get solid with them. Then do a daily and they try to play a killer they're not very familiar with, with probably some weird perk loadout because they rarely use them. They don't play to that specific killer's strengths and then just cry that they're "not viable at red ranks".
Then certain content creators feed into that. People need to accept the fact that though a content creator has an opinion, it's just that. It's not fact.
3 -
I've always liked wraith and thought he was strong. When I first started I played Slug wraith

god has spoken
0 -
hes not that good once people realize that all you need to do is sit near a pallet while healing and your literally safe unless he has the ultra rare add on and even then if you pay attention you will be fine.
also im 90% sure tru3 was uses sloppy butcher nurses combo to do well
0 -
absolutely true love him
0 -
That's kinda why I get annoyed of tru3's opinions, as he is just good at killer, so if he knows how to play a certain killer he is gonna do good at said killer.
1 -
Any killer is good with ultra rares
4 -
I play Ghost face every time I play killer I can get normally 3k games and if I don’t let the last person live because they got wrecked then I get my 4K but the point is I don’t run ruin I run bbq, I’m all ears, haunted grounds, the last perk is usually either bitter murmur or spy’s from the shadows point is any killer is viable with the right build and the person running said build has anyone watched Monto? That guy can make any killer viable I gues what I am trying to say is play the game try some builds see what works for you
1 -
So? Nurses and sloppy butcher are in the game right?
How does that make him any less viable?
0 -
Tru thinks he invented a new meta and made Wraith viable. This is funny because Wraith has not been changed and Tru is on record saying Wraith is the worst killer in the game.
3 -
He is weak if you go for chases until you down someone, he seems to be good at juggling with a certain build (sloppy, thana, nurse's). Top tier? Not sure. Try juggling with him more and find out for yourself.
0 -
TLDR: He finally noticed that the Clapper addons are really good. Whoopty freaking do.
Without one of those addons he's mediocre at best.
Bone Clapper lets him do ok.
Coxcombed Clapper makes him viable, but is also an ultra rare.
7 -
He did the same thing with Ghostface, going from "this killer is trash" to " this killer is viable."
4 -
Basically, Wraith can be top tier, but you have to play super super sweaty for it to be possible.
0 -
GF I actually get, since he can attack without warning or slowdown, unlike Pig, Wraith or Myers. But Wraith... not so much.
0 -
lol these streamers crack me up. its 2019. The perks and killer in this video are old news. Yes its good but its been good for awhile. the reason you dont see this build much is because it uses a ultra rare addon.
0 -
I dont get why people dont like him? Yes he has very strong opinions on the game some i dont agree with but it just seems like people dislike him due to what he says.
1 -
When a streamer claims something, naturally, the fans will spread it.
4 -
Some people just hate streamers in general cause people tend to believe anything they say, calling them "braindead" and unable to think for there own
I can understand that to a degree but those people often forget that automaticly dismissing everything a streamer says is equally "braindead"
2 -
The results are not relevant at all. First for that you would need KYF with good Survivors. But second, with or without KYF, you would need to check with every other Killer.
I mean, what if he gets 17 out of 18 with Clown? Is Clown viable then? Or is it because he has 4K hours in the game? When he plays Spirit and gets ony 16 out of 18, is Spirit worth than Wraith then?
He has Data, but that Data is not really meaningful. There are a bunch of Killers where he would get better results when playing them for a full day.
3 -
It could be that if he found a build for clown that he could do equally well
And if he did I would definitivly give clown a second look
But i don't see how that's relevant when discussing how viable wraith is
How other killers might perform has zero outcome on how viable wraith is
And no using kyf and only playing against the best of the best survivors scews the results
If you find that in the 17 or so games he won everyone survivor was a potato then you need to lower your expectation of the avarage survivor
0 -
He claims that Wraith is a Top 4 Killer. But this is based on the fact that Nurse and Spirit are better (which cannot be denied) and Ghostface is Top 3 according to him, because he did a similar experiment (not gonna argue with that, Ghostface is strong). But how can he know that Wraith is Top 4 when not testing all the other Killers? Surely its relevant when the other Killers dont have data.
Regarding KYF: DBD has so many variables. I dont say that you would do KYF with the best Survivors, but you need people where you know their Skill Level. And a consistent Skill Level is more helpful with analyzing.
I mean, tru3 sometimes jumps on Conclusions. Good example: Discussion if Spirit or Billy is second best a few months ago. While I cannot deny that he was right with Spirit being better (no other answer possible IMO), when playing Billy he looked like he wanted to make him look bad. Like using Chainsaws when he had to simply M1, like trying to chainsaw an Injured Survivor on a T/L-Wall.
Its the player, not the Killer.
0 -
He claims that Wraith is a top 4 killer in his opinion, cause that's what tierlists are
Opinions
I personly don't care about them, all i see is that he made a killer that he and others used to see as bad work
I do agree that it's the player, not the killer
0 -
Just my personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but I personally feel like if a killer requires add-ons to be viable -- especially a combination of 2 particular types of add-ons in conjunction -- they're not in a good place. Add-on dependency is the very thing I find wrong with most killers.
0 -
I come across this a lot, can I ask you to go more in-depth as to why you think if a Killer needs add-ons to be good, they're in a bad spot?
Sometimes I think this too, but other times.. I think the devs want add-ons to be used every game. I think they want Killers to be slightly weaker at base power because of some of the extreme impact some add-ons can have. Hell, even speed add-ons like Hag's "Reduce setting times of traps moderately" are really impactful.
0 -
I'm sorry, I never argued that wraith was the best killer in the game
I'm arguing that he can be viable
Other killers are completly irrelevent to that matter
I don't care if wraith is top 3, top5 or top 10
All i'm seeing is that a killer that was concidered weak can clearly have succes
From that point of view, you can't argue with the results
This seems to be a misunderstanding, sorry if i wasen't clear about it
1 -
I 100% agree not all streamers are like that plus true has over a 1000 hours in DBD that must make his opinion worth something
1 -
I wish I could like you post 1000x.
Nobody talks about skill gaps in these forums, and how that has an effect on their skill level when going against very well coordinated AND knowledgeable teams.
0 -
I have over 1000 hours and can't loop to save my life (literally). Play time means something, but not a whole lot. It's always a good thing to consider other people's opinions, especially those with more experience, but streamers are just as fallible as the rest of us.
3 -
You should take a look at his twitter. It is kinda sad how this community acts or some streamers and their following.
1 -
The whole "top tier and bottom tier" is all bullshit. Every killer is top tier, they are all as good as each other. Having said this, the killer is only as good as the person playing them. We aren't all good with every killer but some are good with the killers that we aren't good with. Stop trying to make it seem like the killers are worse than one another because it's not true. The killer is only as good as the player, if you can't use the killer then fine tell yourself that the killer is terrible or bottom tier. There will be someone that disagrees because they can use that killer and they can do it well. Plus the killers don't always kill every survivor because the survivors have to work as a team to survive and use all the mechanics that they can to stop and evade the killer.

Because add-ons only last a single game, and there will be a point where the number of games you play without the required add-ons vastly outnumbers the games you do play with them.
