Moris need to be changed
I'm gonna keep this short mori's are unfun and unfair if that's all you came to hear then you can stop reading: if you would like to keep reading then i will continue. I had a guy the other day say(because all 4 of us escaped) "I'm bringing a mori," then he said "i'll remember you" - toxic killer. That being a quote in itself is an issue in my book a be all end all a nail in the coffin, it's basically an ez win and promotes tunneling i just vs. a plague and she waited at the locker while my ds was active after moring my friend just to shake her head yes and spam mori me then finish me off it's just not fun. Furthermore, a 3v1(post mori) is basically impossible to win if 4-3 gens are left. Which is about how long id say it takes to tunnel mori one person and to then get the others also affected their experience and it can be a de-pip for both side more likely than not the survivor that got moried i could go on and on about how moris can easily win a killer a 4k but i digress and i will go into the counter argument -
Keys the survivors saving grace or at least what most people believe, how many times in a game will you bring a key and use it for a dire situation probably not, and on top of that survivors need to die and gens need to be done both things that survivor and the team must do to get hatch to spawn in the first place which means they were playing good in the first place + the time to find hatch and depending on the map can be in a number of places keys are annoying i get it but moris and keys are not comparable as moris make a bigger impact in the game as a whole both can be seen as hate signs and symbols building hatred and both killer on survivor sides.
The fix- its a simple one because i believe moris should be a fun way for killers to do a cool gory animation so 2 hooks that's all after two hooks a mori should be possible it would not insinuate and reward tunneling but be a way to save hooks and have fun on both survivor and killer.

god bless your soul if your still reading I'm not sure if this will be changed but i know both sides of the argument and i think everyone can agree moris are too good and need a change and it sucks for survivors if you want to balance the game do it for the whole.
ps. i originally posted this on the steam discussion and somebody suggested that mori is a two hook requirement but a buff is that it works in endgame i kinda liked this intensity at its finest. Killer mains also suggested keys need to be change which i can kinda agree with so let's discuss
my changing opinion: after hearing and discussing with people from steam and the forums here both keys and moris need to be changed for example how is it fair that a survivor to hop in the hatch instantly right in-front of the killer well its not so i hope we can make something that works for both survivors and killers i just hate the tunneling nature of moris like the charges idea someone had its down below.

Keys need to be changed let me just stand on the hatch with a key and tbag the killer as they are forced to either shut the hatch so i open it and jump in or just jump in when they get close.

yeah that is pretty bull my thought process on keys are changing as more people talk about their discontent with keys my argument is a mori affects 4 players game and basically wins a game while a key may not be used(in that game) or the killer could tunnel as counter-play or playing well and spreading out agro because people need to be dead to use key or franklins what perk counters moris? Both should be changed but my main issue is with moris atm.

elaborate. is it fun for both sides? To queue up wait and have a 3 minute game and the killer doesn't pip neither do any of the survivors its just not well designed. 2 hooks and it working at endgame i believe would be a great change

don't go down? i disagree if the killer could just not get people down the game would be broken and killers would never win ever the killer should be able to get people down in time i've been blood-lusted and moried at a pallet multiple times. I don't think your looking at it from a survivors perspective.

The only reason i did that was because she basically stayed near my hook and bolted when i got pulled off all pallets near my hook were used and no one had borrowed it was my only option which she just waited and blood lusted me after at a vault.

Killers have an easy mode which is a mori, but survivors also have an easy mode which is swf and a key.

There are matches where I bring a mori and survivors are able to escape without any getting moried
It's that simple, and it's in the name "survivor", you just have to survive the trial if you don't want to get moried

75% killer win rate, and preteen killers complain about them still having that 25%. you want people to stop dc'ing? give them more than a 25% chance to survive. moris go, keys stay.

If you're dying in three minutes you suck, mori or no mori. Hell, the gens are powered in around 5 most games.

i play rank 1 most of the time and i can say that if a killer wants you he will get you thats why its a 4v1 and 12 hooks all round you moring someone cuts off 8 that is 2/3 the job i believe if the just survive mentality was realistic everybody would be rank 1 but that's not the case maybe if your vs. a bot. The hook is basically camped tunneled and moried how is that fun or fair.

like i stated she camped the hook 2 minute chase maybe more i get hooked thats a good chase not bad she proxy's the hook sixty seconds save then killed and moried about 3-4 minutes and there are gen defense perks use them if gens go in 5 minutes corrupt, ruin, thana, dying light,pop etc.

In a perfect world where killers perfectly pressured the map and didn't stay near hooks ds wouldn't be needed or used but we don't comparing a face camper to a ds user is just obnoxious and blasphemy i would much rather use that perk slot for something like botany love that perk.

you've missed my point, there is only so many resources in a given area unsafe pallets are useless for survive-ability that's why there are FOUR people in a game to get hooked saved do gens escape i'm not saying i want to escape every game i'm just saying moris are a 3 or 4k if the killer has a brain a mori cuts out 2/3 of the hooks in a game. AND BLOODLUST IS A THING jesus bloodlust is not an outplay it is a deliberate way for a killer to be able to catch a survivor without much counterplay which is what typically happens then the mori.

For 1 killer. Freddy. It isn't a 75% win rate for every single killer. Killers like Demo and Clown are struggling to get 50%, or a 2K. If we change the free win for one side, we have to change it for the other.

hum….you know bloodlust gets deactivated if the killer destroys a pallet right? if he has it for that long it means your not forcing him to break pallets

no again you missed my point, HE DOESN"T break the pallet because the killer knows when he gets me i'm down and dead so he will just run around the pallet till he stack and then it's basically a free down. Moris save so much time.

Keys are worse for several reasons..1..I see keys all the time..moris are actually rare2..keys can be found MID match..3..keys reward survivors for failure..while moris while annoying only help if your winning chases anyway..saying they arnt comparable is a lie

75 percent killer rate at what rank though? Nobody cares about the win-rate rank 15-20 survivors who don't know how to play the game. I guess except other rank 15-20 survivors and I gaurantee you that the win-rate is not 75 percent at high ranks, at all.
Also what are you qualifying as a win, a 4K? Pipping? If it's pipping then you should know that killers actually lose points for mori because they get less objective BP. Good survivors dominate the game pace with an understanding of how and where to loop while doing objectives.
I don't get where you're getting this data from but I can only assume it's from a non valid area of the game again. (low ranks.)

I think its difficult. I usually play R1. The most killers playing with mori use it when they go up against swf or keys and stuff. They dont often use it because its hard to pip with it and want to stay in red ranks. But lower ranks is another world. Lately I get matched with green rank killers often. They use ebony mori just for fun, even against solo survs without items. If I would play green ranks I would go insane and I totally understand that its a lot more common there. I think the requirements to use the mori are ok and you can only use it with benefit if you use it for one early kill or kill the survs after the 2nd hook. I think the mori shouldnt be changed. The game should change in a direction where everyone can perform good in their rank without the need of mori. It should be more like a fun thing to use imo.

I see where your coming from but I think they can be quite suppresses to anyone that feels like playing the game someone said a charged system like 4-5 charges and you can Mori anyone stops tunneling and cancels out an early kill and I also believe that using a mori to destroy a key is a problem it’s just the toxic nature keys and Moris should be changed so this encounter is changed or not even worth while.

What do you mean with charges exactly?
You know I think the game offers many different scenarios. The games with moris and keys are a lot more challenging. And I think that is good. It really feels awesome if you escape versus a noed ebnoy mori killer whos campy or tunneling. On the other hand its nice to 4k against a team with good items.
If we talk about moris it all comes down to teamwork as survivors. And there is the problem with moris. No teamwork no chance.
Another problem I see when you would nerf moris is the feeling behind it. Tbh if I equip a mori my intent is to give them a hard time. I would feel really bad equipping a mori every match and it isnt recommended if you want to pip. If they nerf it Im sure many players will use it more frequently. I think the mentallity to use strong things not that often is good. Eg I have a load of iri hatchets addons on my huntress but I barely to never use them. If they get nerfed I wouldnt have any bad feelings to use them every game.

Alright to explain it would be kinda like devour 4-5 hooks and you can mori anybody it would subside the tunneling problem and stop the early kill giving survivor a hell of a time to even get a hold in the game after losing it would still be strong and scary survivors would be shacking after the 4 hook i like that way better and it's a compromise for both survivors and killers.

They need to remove ebony and cypress Moris 1 is unnecessary the other is useless ivory is enough to do damage but give survivors a better chance than ebony,keys should only be found in chests using plunderers broken keys the exception, brand new parts should destroy toolbox upon use like instas that way no more bnps and commodious with swivels, Insta heals should be reverted to old Insta heals but only used on teammates not yourself in turn you keep your medkit for yourself.

Yeah I’m a killer main and think ebony Moris need to go just a legit excuse to derank imo. They need to do something or they’ll end up committing career suicide consoles are already feeling the weight of people getting tired of the lack of care when it comes to their versions of the game

Ivory Memento Mori: Grants the ability to kill one Survivor who has been hooked two times by your hand during the next trial.
Ebony Memento Mori: Grants the ability to kill all Survivors who have been hooked two times by your hand during the next trial.
That way the killer loses almost no Bloodpoints.
