    I did it first try with Basement Trapper. I ran darkened traps with bag add on to carry more. I ran Agitation, Iron Grasp, Hex: Ruin (to slow the game), and Mad Grip. If you play it right, you can snowball a match pretty quickly with this build. People come to save and miss the traps and get stuck.

    @Jukenobi

    firstly thank you for a quick answer. problem with me using trapper i don't have ruin. by the time i put traps in appropriate places i get gen rushed. i have also waited near the basement before with no luck. the only time i was able to do it was when challenge wasn't selected and i was at the place where you use glasses to travel too. that place is so funny when you get the right basement for trapper.

    Also know, they only need to die in the basement. You can get normal hooks till they death hooks.

    Just run agitation and iron grasp.

    Hook on normal hooks and remember who you hooked how many times. By the time 2 or 3 gens are left you should really have 2 surv dead and at least 1 more on death hook. From that point its just if you tunnel for 4k bc with 2 gens left and 2 surv left its pretty much gg.

    I did it on first try as well, as someone else mentioned. All I did, was pick Trapper and Trap around the Basement and after that was done, I would down a Survivor and bring them to the Basement with Agitation + Iron Grasp. Then another good perk is to camp in a close proximity behind a wall with Insidious and once someone is going for the save, you are guaranteed to down at least one person. I got lucky on my first try, but try it a couple of times and you will find success quickly. I did not have Ruin nor any Gen pressure perks.

    If you've already completed the Rift, you're not on a time limit at all. The Tome and its challenges will stick around forever, and you'll still be able to earn the lore fragment and bloodpoint rewards no matter how long it takes you to do the challenge.

    Perk Builds

    I used Trapper for mine, and I would recommend him as the easiest killer to use for this challenge, but if you're having trouble with him I can give you some tips for Hag or Demo. I would recommend Iron Grasp, Agitation, Make Your Choice and Territorial Imperative as your perks. The first two help you get people to the basement, and the last two stop them from escaping. As either Hag or Demo, once you have hooked one person in the basement, you want to set up your traps/portals and then leave the area.

    Territorial Imperative will both give you forewarning when someone is going for the rescue so you can be ready to head back, and also lets you know if you're far enough away for Make Your Choice to activate (since both perks activate at the same minimum distance of 32 metres). You can switch out Make Your Choice for a slowdown perk like Ruin or an endgame perk like NOED though, if you prefer, because TI and MYC do have some degree of anti-synergy between them (TI is supposed to give you a head start on getting back to the basement, but MYC forces you to stay 32 metres away until the hooked survivor is rescued).

    Killer Tips

    If you're playing Hag, place a trap near the hooked survivor (for hook grabs, if you're lucky), and another two or three around or at the top of the stairs. Always make sure you have these traps in place whenever someone is hooked in the basement. Whether they set off your traps or are forced to crouch to avoid them, you should easily be able to catch up to the survivors and stop them escaping the basement.

    As Demogorgon, you want to have a portal in or near the basement so that you can get back quickly. Place your portal, but walk away rather than teleporting - you want to make sure that your power is off cooldown for when you need to use it to teleport back. Once you're a safe distance away (at least 32 metres) place another portal where you are and wait for the rescue.

    Add-Ons

    As for add-ons, if you're playing a normal Hag build, use add-ons that increase teleportation distance and Phantasm duration. If you want to try something a bit more unexpected, though, you could try using the Rusty Shackles to increase your chances of taking the survivors unawares, or you could use Mint Rag to basically turn her into a faster, stealthier and arguably stronger (as far as basement defense goes) Demogorgon.

    For Demogorgon's add-ons, I would recommend ones that increase your speed while traversing the Upside-Down, as well as either cooldown reduction or portal opening speed add-ons.

    @Fibijean

    sorry i don't understand what you first said. if the tome and challenge stays active forever, what closes in now 2 days? also if i don't complete that challenge will i be able to use tome 2?

    when i use the hag in the way you said, survivors learn what i'm doing and decide not to bother rescue. i manage mostly 2 kills sometimes 3. also i don't think i have the last two perks you mention for traper or ruin :(

    i have also tried to play dirty using insidious and of coarse i'm wasting my time cos they have kindred.

    i have tried and tried so many times...:(

    The Rift is what is closing. What happens is that the challenge you haven't completed will not award you 3 Rift fragments (which you don't need anymore since you said you're at lv 70), but that's it. You'll still get the lore page and the bloodpoints.

    The only thing that closes in 2 days is the Rift. So after that point, you will no longer be able to earn progress or rewards from the current Rift. Since you've already bought the premium pass and reached tier 70, you have absolutely nothing to worry about there!

    The Tome will not close and will remain available indefinitely. You will still be able to do the challenges in Tome 2 when it is released even if you haven't finished this challenge yet, and even if you start Tome 2 you should still be able to go back to Tome 1 to work on this challenge.

    Territorial Imperative is a Huntress perk, so you should be able to unlock it fairly easily since she's one of the free killers. Make Your Choice is a Pig perk, but as I said, it's not mandatory for the build and you can switch it out for something like NOED if you like.

    I would recommend against camping using Insidious. Survivors are much more likely to either not bother going for the save or just disconnect from the game if they realise that's what you're doing. In order to successfully bait them into going for the save, you need to make them feel like they have a chance of getting out alive, and the best way to do that is by not hanging around guarding the basement.

    I'm really sorry you're having such a hard time with the challenge. If you like, I can recommend some strategies for doing it using Trapper, which is what I did. He is slow to start with, but it's still definitely possible - I didn't get a single basement hook until 4 gens had been done on mine, but NOED came in clutch and I still managed to get the challenge.

    If you're having trouble with survivors catching on to what you're doing and just avoiding the basement, the other strategy you can try is just play the killer you're best at, hook everyone normally for the majority of the game and then use Agitation and Iron Grasp to carry them to the basement for their final hook. This works best on a small map where the basement is fairly easily accessible from anywhere, like Haddonfield or possibly The Game.

    Good luck! Let me know if you'd like some advice for Trapper.

    Dark Senses is leagues harder. Everyone i used to SWF with has abandoned the game and those ive found since lack any and all mic discipline so i play solo. The solo experience in this game is trash.

    i did this one quite easy try and repair 2 gens to your self at first, then keep scouting for the other gens and only take part when they are nearly finished. you don't have to do 4 full gens.

    I used gideon saw offer with trapper. Trapping the pallets outside basement after hook one and when surv saves. At the end I slug and sacrifice them all. I used gen slow perks and fast travel to hook perks. Maybe try also with hillbilly in similar way, or with hug with the perk that makes vulnerable the savior surv. Good luck.
