Killer DC is ruining everything

I've played 6 games and 5 games in a row the killer DCed and I'm losing my offering every time... I know you used to lose your item too but this is ridiculous. I ran a 100% in all categories, won one Chase and he raged quit. I got a whopping 4,000 BP because of him quitting and lost that ######### offering. Is this More common on resets or something?

    It used to be more common because Red Ranks would go back down to Green, and some of these Red Rank players were notorious for DCing if the match didn't go their way. But because of the new rank reset system being added, they're just deranked back to a previous rank now.

    So, this isn't exactly the main issue anymore. It just seems to be the time of day you're playing in and the specific players that do this are more common at this time.

    I'm sorry that this issue is happening to you, but once the DC penalty system is in full effect, than they'll start to be punished more for this. So like many of us, you'll unfortunately have to just tough it out until that system is in full swing.

    I'm sorry about the loss of items and time, but there will be change soon!

    Sometimes it's because they're just mad that they're losing. Other times they're trying to derank - although if they bothered to engage in a chase before disconnecting, it's unlikely that that's their aim - and some are unhappy with the Ruin changes and have decided to take it out on survivor players by ruining their experience. Hard to tell without talking to them, but yes, unfortunately this isn't uncommon.

    Luckily, as FireHazard mentioned, we should be getting a new DC penalty system implemented soon, so hopefully that will significantly discourage such behaviour in the future.

    Late morning? Lol nah man when it happened to me it was ongoing from 9-1030pm ET. All I want is EVERYTHING back i put into the game returned to me. If he quits he quits but I shouldn't lose my offering yano? Now I'm out of offerings for categories because one guy decided to be a #########

    I believe it's supposed to be a fail safe for when a DC happens, so that's why you lose the items... for some reason.

    Also, I was going off of when this was posted, so I just assumed this was posted AFTER that match. My point is though, there will be change to this soon and they will be punished more severely as a result.

    But for now, there isn't much you can really do about it. And I don't like that I have to say that, but it really is one of those situations that we just have to wait on. Sorry.
