My Top 9 things that has to be done in DbD ASAP
Titel^ No specific order.
1.Matchmaking: It should not be ever that you run into killers / survivors that are +/- 10 ranks. Here is an example of myself:
2.The Hitboxes: This happens to me every day and it is so annoying and frustrating. I wittness it on killer and on survivor side. It especially becomes really silly vs Huntress. There are tons of Videos out there, here is just a random one i recorded today. I would be able do a video like that every day multible times. It happens nonstop.
3.Maps: Some maps need some overlooking. Look at Mothers Dwelling for example, its way to big for most Killers. Some Maps like Haddonfield are too strong for survivors (remove the god window would be a good step in the right direction) and some maps like Lab or Game are way to good for Killers. Especially Lab is a joke, 8/10 pallets are completly useless. Also, change some of the infinites.. for example the window in Iron works or coal tower, make it so it cant be fast vaulted at least.
4.Buff some Killers: Clown feels a bit to weak and so is Leatherface and Legion. It does not have to be big buffs, small changes might already make them pretty good.
5.SWF has to be changed in any way. Dont poop on me please, i am no killer main, currently i play even more survivor, but i must say, SWF is super strong. The thing is really, that the difference between SWF4 Man team vs 4 Solo players is very significant.
6.Ranks: It is way to easy to rank up as survivor! 2 days after rank reset and i am already rank 1, and with the last change (which is very bad in my opinion), more and more potatoes will be in redranks... and trust me when i say: 90% of these people are nowhere even close to Redrank or even Rank 1 worthy, sorry (not saying that i am, but most people are definitly worse then me, and i am very far from beeing a "pro".. still learning the game). The difference within redranks is sooo big, it is really from between "Survivor is a god" to" Survivor apparently installed the game 2 weeks ago". My first season and i was rank 1... and i was horrible at the game! That should tell you a lot about it.
7.Moris, Addons and Items:Red Moris are totally gamebreaking. Change them so the killer has to hook every survivor one time so it becomes active. Same with the Green one by the way. Keys are also for many killers a problem, i dont see them to often, but i see the potential power they have. Last but not least, some Addons are totally broken. Iri Head for example is absurd, especially in combinition with Infantry Belt. Change it that Huntress has to be further ways then 16 or 20 Meters that it is a oneshot down. There are many more that have to be changed, for example: Rusty Shackles, Tuft of Hair, Black Incense or Bloody Glove just to name a few.
8.Some perks are waiting for a Buff: Mindbreaker, Monstrous Shrine, Hangmans Trick, Unrelenting, No Mither, Sole Survivor, Deja Vu are just some examples.
9.Lobbyquese can be long from time to time.
After all this suggestions that may be seen as complaining, i must add, that you are really doing a good job so far, even with its flaws, i still have fun playing Dead by Daylight! Thank you for that!
Last but not least: What do you guys think? Do you have other "To does" you think off? Probably i forgot some really big things, but these are the ones i really think they have to be changed as soon as possible.

I agree to basically everything you say, I'll just add one bit about your point 6 - Ranks:
even if devs want to stick with the current rank reset mechanism (that is: set back to the nearest lower colour), they should at least change the reset to the lower boundary of the rank colour, instead of the higher.
Right now a rank 4 is reset to rank 5, he just needs to gain 4 pips and then he's back exactly where he was - this means that there could be a hypothetical scenario where a player could play only two games per month and maintain always the same rank (..two games double pipping, that is).

Wow this is really good. As for how swf might be fixed: kindred basekit, totem counter, and chase indicator. Your thoughts?

Absolutly agree and it would be the right call, but still this is definitly not enough.
Probably not the totem counter, but maybe kindred basekit if you are solo. Good call

Chase Indicator like we have for the Obsession would be nice.
Kindred basekit... maybe. If it showed where everyone was at, but not if the Killer is camping. You could easily tell by the way someone goes in and then comes right back out for that. Especially since Kindred negates Killer Stealth abilities (still does this right?).
Totem Counter... maybe all the totems you've seen personally? I think this in itself would be extremely strong. It obviously mimics SWF + comms potential, but having that uncertainty of "Did we get all the totems so NOED doesn't pop?" is a good thing in the game.
IMO, if you do this, the Killers will need seriously buffs themselves. The devs keep saying they want to buff Solo queue to the level of SWF and then buff Killers from there, but I have yet to really see anything on this level other than some buffs to various Perks.
As far as the various OP items, the problem I see there is that there aren't enough placeholders on the Bloodwebs. You only have a couple URs on a Killer/Survivor and that's it. Everytime a web is generated there is a very good chance of having 1 on there, and since there is no real variety you end up with the same ones. I see Ebony Moris all the time, I just choose to not get them as I'm pushing for levels and Perks. 7k BP is too much to spend on one node. They need to massively increase the rarity of these items, say to max 1 in 5-7 webs, because they really are not that Ultra Rare.
If you add more URs, you increase the items the Bloodweb can pull from so the ones that are gamechanging become actual Ultra Rares. Whether it's some form of UR Offering for BP, or changing another mechanic in the game, they need to stuff some variety in there otherwise it'll be Moris every web for some people. The same with Keys as well as add-ons.

Maybe for kindred just have a little indicator for when the killer has been lurking in the hooked survivor's LoS for a little bit and is still in range. Totem counter: swf can use comms to tell eachother how many totems out of 5 they have cleansed, just give this ability to solo queue too.

Seems good to me, except for number 2.
The issue isn't hit boxes, that is ping related to dedicated servers.

Its both and that makes it so aweful. Stand behind any obstical that covers you completly, let the huntress shoot a hatched above it... see getting hit. Same with walls.

This appears as a problem with hit boxes and Huntress hatchets to you because you don't understand what their hitboxes are and how they work. There is a dev stream on their youtube where they go over it in detail.
Huntress hatchets have one large egg shaped hit box for detecting if it hit a survivor. It has a second much smaller sphere shaped hitboxes inside that one for detecting objects. This is what causes the perception of them hitting you when you think they shouldn't be.
The hatchet goes over a wall where a survivor is behind. The smaller object collision hit box is still higher than the wall so it doesn't cause collision and continues to travel over it. Meanwhile the larger hitbox around the hatchet for detecting a survivor does go through the wall. However this hitbox is for detecting survivors not objects, which is why it detects the survivor and gives a hit after it passes through the wall and connects with the survivors hit box.
These 2 different hit boxes around the hatchet are to give it more leeway with hitting survivors through holes or over objects and is completely an intended effect.
They tested making the hit boxes on the hatchet match its actual shape more closely in a patch a long time ago but they reverted it because it made it extremely hard to hit hatchets over or through anything.

The hitboxes should be the same. They don't give this special treatment to plague.

I dont want to be rude, and sorry that i dont know exactly how the hitbox works, but who cares why Hitbox does not work? They dont work. fix it period. No matter what it costs, it is gamebreaking to a certaint level.

Because this is not correct, they do work. How they are functioning based on what I described is their intended effect.
It isn't game breaking, it's been this way for a long time. When you know how its hit boxes work you can better predict how to dodge them.

I would put fixing the many bad maps at the top of the list. So many maps are either imbalanced or just awful.

They are completely different killers. By that logic we should give fountains to Huntress because Plague has them. That wouldn't make sense. Killers are different.
Some are faster, some are quieter and some have abilities that are easier to land than others because of their ability hit boxes which are designed to be more or less forgiving.

I don't think you realize how bad Huntress would be if her hatchet hit boxes were changed how you want.
Oni's Demon Strike has a further reach than other killers attacks, should that be changed as well?

Attacks going through walls is kind of weird. I'm fine with it because huntress still isn't that strong.

I agree it can cause it to look a little weird visually when that happens. I'm just not sure how that weirdness could be alleviated without it negatively effecting Huntress.

The intended effect is to hit a survivor fully covered behind obsticals? All what you are saying is.. they could not find a way to do it propperly. And i say: Then try harder. Saying this is not optimal is a big understatement.
The only reason why it is playable is that she is handicaped otherwise. It is like saying "Hey we know that CS GO is not working because we are not able to implement instant hit detection, but we rather give you 2 square meter headshot hitboxes to compensate that".

The intended effect is to learn the hit boxes to know what will cover you and what won't.

I'm of the opinion that they should get rid of ranks altogether. That would fix two of your problems right there. Players put too much stock in them anyway. Your post pretty much describes why they are dumb. On the one hand you are complaining that you are matched with too high level of survivors but on the other you say that it is too easy to rank up as a survivor. The net effect is that a lot of high ranking survivors really aren't all that good of players. But then these survivors who should be green based on merit are red and then killers who should actually be matched with them get all whiny and thinking they were matched with players too high rank for them. Just scrap the whole system. Or just hide the ranks altogether even in the post match screen.

Thank you, again, we know how this works. But it does not matter. Knowing that this stuff does not work like a regular hitbox is supposed to work (you know, hitting air counting as hit for example is not considere as "working hitbox"), wont fix it! At least not in this universe.
When i buy a car and the salesman tells me, that the breaks are not working, but i can use an anchor to stop the vehicle, it still wont make the car a decent product, even if there is an option to adapt to the problem. No matter how nice the anchor is, and no matter how often the salesman is telling me.

People saying Huntress' hitboxes are broken have never played huntress. Period.
Agreed with everything on the list. But, #2 is definitely ping related. I've never experienced something as bad as in that clip.

Happens to me pretty much all the time, every day. Yet it is not the ping (was at 30) or up and download.
It also happens to almost anybody else, and that clip was no where near the worst i have wittnessed. You might be the exception then, good for you. :)
I am not playing the huntress a lot, actually she is my least played killer. But when i play her, i land bullshit hits left and right.. trust me ;). Its not only about huntress, its every killer. I just picked a random example which should be very significant.

Mori's should be changed to hook the person twice and the next down will give you the ability to kill so that way you would have died anyway so theres no harm
Also keys completely ruin the fun towards the end of the game

Thats the thing you simply dont understand for whatever reason (or you ignore it, i dont know). Its not about how they work. Its about how they SHOULD work. And that is my complain... Other games showed us,that this can be done properly. If you are fine with the hitboxes then good for you.
And i am aware that the servers are also an issue, but as said, the combinition makes it so aweful.

One of your issues was hit box problems. I posted that it is in fact not hit boxes and is related to ping.
You then posted a strawman argument for why you think the way hit boxes work is bad and how they should work. You follow this up with asking me to refute your strawman argument. I point out that asking someone to refute a strawman argument doesn't make any sense but it is clear that you still don't know what the definition of a strawman argument is and are not going to look it up because you still insist I haven't refuted it.
Instead you'd rather just be condescending and try and make an argument with me. I'm not belittling you for not knowing things, so there's no need to be insulting towards me. We can have a normal conversation.
If you'd simply look up the definition you would understand how this looks.
