Fog Rework
Greetings readers,
As some of you might agree, the "mist" in the game functions as an insignificant double edge sword as it slightly yet situatuinally benefiting/ effecting each gameplay side.
Although in some instances it may conceal the killer at tremendous distances that is usually not the case. It also makes survivors slightly more difficult to spot and see as they usually linger along the outer edge walls of the map.
I personally along with many others believe that the fog should become heavier/thicker by default. not only with this deter the unintended and unfair advantage of survive with friends because of easily being able to communicate the place and distance of the killer, but it would also increase the imersiveness of this horror themed game by adding the psychological factor of not knowing your surroundings and proximaty/location of the killer untill he or she is looming right over you.
-Killers should perceive fog 25% lighter than survivors by default, this attribute can be increased to 33% total by using a "Fogborn" perk
-Generators would require being completely repaired in order lift the fog up to (20x) meters away
-Hooking a player slightly increases the nearby surrounding fog by (×%) unless in proximaty to a nearby completely repaired generator.
-Survivors will also have tools in order to overcome this obstacle. Ontop of repairing gens as i previously mentioned the Flashlight item could possibly be repurposed in order to lessen the fog in its beam
-A new item could also be potentially be introduced like candles found in the basement or a lantern that lessens the fog in the surrounding area nearby you and can also be hung on sacrifical hooks to lessen the fog increase upon hooks.
-Map items would also become more useful as it would be more difficult to find genorators and chests.
-Lastly all killer fog lessening items would be changed into thickening ones and vise versa for survivors clearly defining their role
Please feel free to share thoughts and concerns.
