Pig is in the higher ranges for Killer performance. It's unlikely she needs a buff. Having said that, there are a few odd things hanging around (like Ruleset #2) and we'd like to do an addon pass eventually.

Legion preforms well but we all know he needs some serious buffs same goes for pig this is kinda disappointing not going to lie

I also think that her kit is mostly okay, but If I were to suggest a change, please remove the roar before her sneak attack. Kinda defeats the purpose, also makes the ability weak to the point where some pigs literally stand up rather than try to sneak attack. More than making her stronger, I just want the most fun part of her kit (in my opinion) to be viable.

She probably does well in lower ranks where people don't know how to loop, do gens or get someone off the hook. Thus, she'll likely never get a true buff to her power.

Hey @Almo why does Pig seem to carry slower to the hook than other killers nowadays? I've noticed it for awhile. I know she used to be bugged and carry faster due to some issues with the CnP of Huntress coding, but she seems even slower then what a regular killer is anymore.
Also any idea on that addons pass timeframe for Pig?

Old Doc was doing ok too surprisingly.
Is there a reason why your stats always look so different to player experience?
Everybody knows Spirit, Freddy and Hillbilly etc are strong and expect them to be performing strongly.
Then there’s this perception, tier lists etc that you end up with Wraith, Doc, Pig etc on the bottom. There’s generally a consistency among tier lists and the general consensus of players.
However you guys put out the stats and everybody takes a back step and wonders “#########?”. “THIS killer is performing far better than THAT killer?”
I wonder why theres such a discrepancy. Sure Nurse and Huntress can be put down to being harder to play but I thought old Doc was useless and I would have expected a number of killers to outperform him.

Just because you can do well with a killer dosnt mean there fine lol look at old Freddy you had people who could get a lot of 4ks with him but that dosnt mean he was good

Her pick rate is also low, which means that a large portion of the people who play pig have probably played her a lot and know how to play her optimally.

Ghostface has a stealth ability like hers but his is 100% better

Pig is not in a big need for a buff like idk Bubba. So many we should try to get Bubba buffed and fixed first, maybe then pig next? Idk who is the weakest killer after Bubba tho

Her addons could still use tweaking. I'd love to see an addon to extend her lunge distance. Also removing the roar from her dash attack, or at least making it later in the dash charge up.

The Doctor wasn't exactly hurting, yes. Not all changes are really focused on "balance", so to speak. In the case of the Doctor, there were things that felt bad when playing him, and there were things that felt bad when playing against him. Having to switch modes after shocking, for example, didn't stop you from getting the hit before, but it would feel a little awkward an unsatisfying. His update improved quality of life across the board.
As for why stats don't reflect opinions, it's anyone's guess. A large part (I would assume) comes down to different people's experience not matching. I haven't seriously played Hillbilly in years, so I'm naturally terrible at him, but that doesn't make him bad. Unlike most games, you can't easily see how that other Hillbilly in your match did and think, "Well he did well with the same killer, so maybe it's just me.". You're the only one there. Your experiences are limited to you, and possibly whoever you watch.
There's also something to be said about the fact that people tend to focus on bad things more than good things. I'm willing to best most people do just fine in most of their matches, but the one that'll stick out is the match they lost.
But again, I can't say. There's so many different reasons why that could be the case, and frankly there's no way to tell unless you sit everyone down and go through all of their matches to figure out why they feel the way they do on a case by case basis.

Do those stats take into account the following things:
Moris
Experience (It is exceptionally easy to reach red rank as a survivor, meaning a lot of low-skill survivors vs high skill killers)
DC's
SWF groups
And the various platforms?
I can't say those stats are very trustworthy and good for proving a point if they don't.
Can you tell me which high-tier players the balancing department listens to/watch for opinions? I've noticed some of the main ones stating their distaste for how BHVR reasoned the Ruin nerf and dislike the direction the game is heading.

The only thing pig needs is 115% ms when crouching, every other killer that turns their low TR off has full movement speed. T2 Myers,Wraith,ghostface. Why can't pig have that? Crouching really reduces your field of view, for spotting survivors, Why does it need movement speed reduction on top of that? stats are one thing, but making killer ability feel good to use should be considered.

define "kill rate" If the killer kills 1 person in the game but still depips is that add to the "kill rate" Because at 70% kill rate with 4 survivors that's not necessarily good.

It's the percentage of survivors that are killed in a match. So in the case where one survivor dies and the rest escape, they would have a 25% kill rate for that match. Or to give another example, if a killer has an average kill rate of 75%, that's an average of three kills per match.

I know this is getting off topic but since i have you, do you guys have data on the kill rate/survive rate for various perks being used? Or addons/items? Would be curious to know how that comes into play as well.

Killer performance based on what? Those kill stats yall released have multitudes of factors that they do not take into account to where they're near worthless in terms of determining balance. Most experienced killers and survivors will tell you Pig is weak.

You know, a simple "We actually don't care what you think, but thanks anyway." would've sufficed here. Sure it's tactless and feels ######### to hear, but at least it's the truth. I think hearing that would give people a lot more relief at this point. Sorry, I don't believe anything you've said, and I feel sad that my trust of the team has gotten as low as it has, because, I don't think you know this, but I (as well as a lot of other people) truly do love this game. We just want it to be better, but I don't think that sentiment is shared for whatever reason. Keep pushing the BVHR narrative I suppose.

tbh pig with the ruin changes is a bit better, ruin+surveillance and you'll basically always know where someone is. grant it, new ruin is dirty booty cheeks

There are good killer players for every killer.
I think the focus of this post is how The Pig feels to play and how many aspects of playing her feel deliberately throttled to artificially create the 2k2e balance the devs tout.
Warning survivors of an "ambush" attack and traps that are too easily removed make her feel weak to play which is where much of the calls for balance stem from.
Every killer is deliberately throttled in ways to make them frustrating to play while survivors are given multiple ways to escape tactics that killers use to get around those frustrating mechanics.
It comes down to how it feels to play these killers... not what their numbers look like.

I am confident given the data we have that Pig does not need a buff. As stated before, there are a few weird things to fix, but not specifically to make her more powerful.
We can't go into huge detail about the information we have on this because it becomes too large a discussion.
Recall I am a Pig main... I promise I am not trying to keep her down just for the hell of it. :D

I agree. I play pig plenty and she does not feel weak. Many things that people complain about are small annoyances such as the ambush noise or the traps.
Imo the traps coming off first try happens less times then people think. I agree in the future she should get a small qol update whenever she gets her addons rework that u mentioned earlier, but that would most likely be low priority. As of now, I believe she is fine for the most part as she is

Pig is well only because ruin. Think of add on passes after you guys see the new stats with no ruin involved. The last range is now invalid for discussions involving new ruin

Honestly I dont think pig needs a buff i play her sometimes and all you need is a little twist of luck in early game to put down a surv.
From there,she has a good power to slow down survs.

I hope not, I hate pig so much I refuse to play against her.
Her kit favors and rewards tunneling just like Bubba's rewards camping, and the boxes being RNG based is just ridiculous. (Don't give me that "It's not RNG" BS I know they are keys in boxes but which boxes they go in, is guess what, RNG, which is one of the worst game mechanics in this game).
If they do buff her, they better nerf her ability to tunnel the hell out of people and re-work her RNG boxes. If they did that, I would happily play against her, but so far all the pig's i've seen are more toxic than the average bubba by far.

I would love if Pig had an add-on that when a Survivor is searching a Jigsaw Box, if it's a flase one...they'd get the Broken Status... Purple or Pink add-on seems fair enough.
Her Ambush really needs a rework, the Lion Roar is beyond unnecessary for how it's only ever a simple lunge attack.
She needs a slightly faster crouch or being able to stand back up a bit faster

The stats say she’s over performing, but Clown is way underperforming but he isn’t being reworked.
But wait we’re don’t just look at stats, despite the fact that both of us have brought up stats, so we ask players who know too. What players are you asking that gave you the impression Doctor needed reworked next?

Why would you hesitate to buff her when you have the Ghostface? He has better stealth, better ability to hit survivors in pallets, better ability to grab survivors off gens, even the bonus ability to one-shot people! Instead of one-shots the Pig has RBTs which are purely based on luck. A good Ghostface would have much better match results. The only possible way for a good Pig to have a higher killrate is having luck on her bright side.
