Lockers, not being in range and calm spirit counter this, use the counter play you’re given. Docs power is mostly tracking.

Fun fact. The shock blast is an AoE. He could literally be chasing someone else and just pop it just because and it could hit you.

It takes 10 seconds to cleanse, the Static Blast is a minute cooldown. I don't see the problem here lmao.

That’s his purpose. You’re not supposed to be able to hide from Doctor normally. Like others have said, Calm Spirit, being out of his range, looping, and lockers counter him. If you can’t or refuse to do that, then that’s on you. Get good.
Also, he just came out two days ago. Give it some time before you guys come out demanding that Doctor be nerfed into oblivion for forcing you to play differently.

Do people really want this game to doe off that bad?.. killer power quality needs to go up instead of perks being crappy patch jobs...because it inevitably causes the issue to persist and limits how interactive killers can and should be

Did you ever hear of this thing called his blast only works in his terror radius? It's not that hard to hide in a locker till he blows it then do the totem. You act like the docs power is impossible to avoid.

You can't stealth a Doctor out in the open often, unless you have Calm Spirit. Otherwise, your best friend in this scenario is a locker, which prevents you from getting affected. You appear to not understand the purpose of Doc's kit.

You can wait for a SAFE play to get the totem. Ya know, when Doctor is not there? There are a few other possible plays, but if you can't even avoid a killer I'd suggest sticking to the first one.

The replies in here are disgusting. Its like nobody can bring up any kind of concern about a killer or their power without people raging and talking down to them for it. Its so biased.
I never had an issue with old Doc, never found him annoying but after facing new Doc all day even I have to admit that static blast can be quite annoying.
That’s not to say he needs a nerf or anything its too early to judge but I can see why someone may find it a little frustrating after playing against the Doc a lot and I’m not quite sure it meets the design intention of being less annoying.

Is there some unspoken moratorium on feedback? Let the feedback come in, some people want to express their frustration with something that's newly been changed I see no problem with that. It's not like the devs are going to immediately Implement changes based on feedback at this stage.

The buff to his regular shock is way more of a problem. Now that the wind-up is almost non-existent, and that they widened it considerably, it's basically impossible to dodge now. He can shock you at any window or pallet and lock you out for way more than enough time to catch you and hit you now.
The Doc buffs are pretty insane.

I like using distressing with doc. Plus iri queen and backwards skill checks are so much fun. Had a game today and a survivor brought us to the meat plant. I laughed at the loading screen.
That being said, I could find people all day long, there were screams everywhere. Yet, i still had to chase them and i havent quite got the timing down to prevent vaults. Plus his base shock is so short that you need to be very close to actually hit someone running away from you..

i appreciate all the helpful and straightforward responses. I’ve been doing the closet thing but when he uses static blast as often as possible you simply can’t spend all game running in lockers. And no way in hell am i going to waste a slot on a perk that is only useful against one killer (re: calm spirit). I could understand spine chill for spirit because that perk is strong vs a lot of popular killers but calm spirit? Gimme a break. I dunno... so far I haven’t been on a team that’s beaten doc yet. I’m solo though so we don’t coordinate like swf. I still think static blast is too strong. 60 sec cooldown is way too fast.

If only there were a perk to negate his power completely....
Also, shock blast has a cooldown and can't be spammed. Get into a locker if you're that scared. Even more, his blast is WAY less BS than the passive madness thing. At least this requires them to do something.

I get that Calm Spirit is super niche, but it can be used to counter Clown as well, (as if he needs more counters.) It can help with infectious fright, Nurse and Oni addons, Iron Maiden, not alerting crows, which is actually pretty effective against a someone who can use crows to track survivors.
I'm sure it will have even more use in the future, but right now, it's not bad considering how common AND powerful Infectious Fright and The Doctor are.
Did I mention it is also really good stealth tool with crows???/??////??/?

Doc is anti stealth
Plague is anti heal
Mike/ghostface/pig/wraith are stealth killers
Hag/trap/freddy are trap killers
You got killers with 1HK
Huntress has ranged attacks
Demi/nurse/hag/freddy/spirit are teleports killers
I mean if you think about it most killers powers fall into multiple categories that are great on there own...
While doc literally just helps you find people nothing else... kinda weak compared to others that can hurt you from a distance or leap to close gaps or 1hk or teleport

Doc is fine as is, I find him fun to play against as it has forced me to change to different strategies than the crouch around and hide. The purpose of his abilities are to prevent stealth.
Lots of people complain about him but this is why, People are used to stealth, where new doc completely counters that strategy and requires people to use new strategies which they have not found, and use other methods

I believe it's mainly due to lack of common sense from whining survivors. They show through their post they clearly don't understand how playing vs Doctor works, think you can 100% stealth him when you can't.

They updated Calm Spirit from Jake Park's teachables in order to help new players against the doctor. We don't need other nerfs after the bullshits they did in the current patch
