Buff the losing side to even out the trial.
I am suggesting that the Devs look into "buffing" the losing side during a trial.
For each generator repaired, the Killer should a movement speed increase and reduced attack cooldown.
If each hooked Survivor, the Survivors should get a generator repair speed increase.
An example: if a Killer is squashing the Survivors at the start of the match, the Survivors should get a generator repair speed increase. If the Survivors somehow manage to pull throw and get generators done, the speed increase is decreased back to the default.
Vice-versa: if Survivors are popping gens left and right, the Killer should get a speed increase to movement and attacks. If the Killer snowballs the game with hooks, the speed increase starts to reduce back to default.
This is to help with the "hopelessness" that both sides feel if they are being curb-stomped.
TL;DR
Basically, a "Fire Up" base-kit for both sides.

Rubberbanding?
I'm not great but this feels unnecessary.. Reward people for doing badly, what next, 5000 pity points for not escaping? It's already bad enough that the obsession gets points for dying..
