Devs Hag Rework
@Peanits first off, I want to say you are awesome and I love your support and rapid responses here. You are great and I appreciate you. But I have a bit of a concern if you wouldn't mind me stealing some of your time.
First, I understand that the beginning of the game is not detrimentally critical to most killers. Thus the Ruin rework which makes it more balanced for the other killers.
However, Ruin was released with the Hag because she needed that setup time.
Now, with Ruin changed there would be no point to add or rework a perk that slows the beginning of the game. That would result in Ruin 2.0 problems.
So my thoughts are a rework / tweak to the Hag. Killers with slow movement speed like the huntress and nurse can hunt from the beginning of the match. The Hag is hindered greatly if she chases early on. You cans stop reading here if you like. That ends my question. Are we working on Hag-specific changes to aid her in the beginning with her slow movement speed setup, and the now faster gen times.
Here is where I offer my idea or suggestion. Just a rough sketch but maybe it can inspire something.
If the Hag (being of mud) could dig into the earth and bore through it with increased movement speed, matching that of the Wraith cloaked, and she can place traps from under the earth (imagine that creepy hand coming out of the earth and drawing a symbol). However when bored she cannot see auras, survivors, or sratch marks. Boring and unboring have a cast time that is brief as well as a long cool down to avoid patrolling exit gates.
The idea here would be to give her an ability to traverse the map a bit faster for setup purposes. But the bore itself is practically useless in a chase and in fact a hindrance in most cases except setting up traps.
There could be no heartbeat underground and the earth could look tilled up like a mole was digging through so survivors could still see and hear her coming.
This would ONLY benefit the Hag, and would ONLY benefit her setup ability and likely wouldn't be used more than the first time at the beginning of the match. Just a thought. Thanks for reading!

Wow that would be awesome. It's amazing how easy it would be to give low tier killers mobility options as a bandaid for huge maps.

Just make her 115% same with huntress lol

That sounds like it will just make her a demogorgon with traps.

That would make her too strong in chases, surprise Traps on loops are already a great help.

Reworking ruin to work well on high pressure killers was a mistake. Ruin is Hag's perk, so it should be good on Hag. But unfortunately Ruin will be staying like this for a long time...
So even though I don't like the rework idea (too complicated and revolutionary) I agree with the point above. Hag, and even more Trapper, need some early game slowdown so that they can setup.
Ideal solution for me would be reworking ruin again to be early slowdown perk, and add the current Ruin as a completely new perk. Unfortunately such "juggle" is probably impossible, so I would be happy if Devs just added some new early slowdown perk, available for all killers.

My idea for the new "early slowdown" perk:
Perk is active for the first 60/75/90 seconds of the match (could be less). While the perk is active, it gains a token for every 20% of a generator done. When the timer ends (60/75/90 seconds) the tokens are spent, and all generators are blocked for 6 seconds for each token. Aura of every generator that earned at least 1 token is highlighted to the killer.
Surviviors are not aware of this perk, generators will work normally. If they complete 1 generator during these 90 seconds, the perk will block the remaining ones for 30 seconds (5 tokens), If they 80% 2 generators (8 tokens), it will be 48 seconds, if they 19% all 5 generators, nothing will happen (0 tokens).
So basically, it forces surviviors to think before genrushing, because it could backfire. 90 seconds may be a bit too much, so it could be less, but remember that there are people who do nothing but hide for the 120 seconds while Corrupt Intervention is active. The outcome of this perk could be similiar to Corrupt Intervention, but it doesn't invite surviviors to get close to the killer, which can be harmful if you are playing Hag or Trapper.
The reason why this perk would be perfect, is because it will only help killers that need early game setup time or have low map pressure, and be completely useless on strong killers like Spirit or Billy, as this is only one time use perk that only works early game.

My thoughts here are that early game pressure on gens is too strong for many killers. Otherwise the nerf wouldn't have happened. So to counter it, killers that need setup time need something as part of their kit to balance it.
Demogorgon has a 2 place much faster movement, as well as a charge in combat to help him chase.
This change for the Hag wouldn't give her as fast of movement across map as the demo. And it wouldn't change her base ability to chase. She would still be quite different.
Agree here. We don't want to up her movement speed because her chases feel balanced with the traps. The problem to address is getting back some of that setup time that ruin bought.
Even old ruin but on a timer would be fine! The 90 secs or so would buy her some time to set up. At least in low ranks where people cant hit the skill checks.
