Playing Killer is a Thankless Experience
Behavior has a post up asking for feedback and I doubt they'll actually bother to listen to any of it but after trying again to play killer I figured I may as well throw my opinion away, off into the internet.
Like the title suggests, playing killer is a thankless role. You're the one player who has decided to provide the antagonist for the game and you should feel like a ruthless killer but you don't really. Your job, as prescribed by the devs is to be the punching bag. Let me explain my point of view:
Assuming you don't get looped for ages and you do well you get berated and verbally abused. This is of course assuming match making is kind that day and gives you a match that's marginally at or below your skill level. Let's be honest though, unless you're using a meta killer with a meta build and your group of survivors has decided not to bring friends you MAY stand a chance to get some on hooks. May.
Instead my experience is that I get in to a match with survivors all teamed up and I don't stand a chance. That or me the modest rank 8 killer is stuck with red ranks. Joy. I feel like I should clarify: not seeing the rank wouldn't make being looped and t-bagged feel any better.
You do well as killer and you have four toxic bastards foaming at the mouth to verbally assault you and that's winning. Losing is they still berate you and you spend the entire game chasing the same dwight clicky clicking his flashlight at you for the 3-6 minutes it takes for 5 gens to be done.
I for one don't see the value in putting myself through that and as such I apologize to the community for contributing to the already horrendous wait times. Good thing survivors are having a good time though.

I can totally understand you. I play both sides but now I prefer survivor over killer, because it's so stressful to play killer. I'm rank 7 and get constantly matched with red ranks. Some of them are potato for red ranks, thanks to the new Rank Reset, but mostly I face good survivors. Often too good for my skill.
And then of course the after game chat....
Yesterday I decided (sadly) that I will turn it off when playing killer, because (1) the harassment got worse and (2) you can turn it off separately now.

Then you try watching streamers or looking at forums and it's mostly survivor players throwing abuse at killers and begging for nerfs while telling killers their concerns are invalid. I kinda wish I'd never looked at the forums, it's sucked so much fun out of this

You have wrong aproach. Just understand that no matter what killer, addons and map you have, good survivors (not even swf) will leave killer with 0 hooks if they don't make stupid mistakes. Exception beeing Nurse, but she needs to be god tier.
It literally takes to hold m1, learn 4 maze tiles + very few map specific and how to loop them. Survivor gameplay is boring and presents no challange what so ever.
In game like this you can't expect to kill everyone every game. Especially with balanced landing and 3 offerings with all maps broken af. Just chill, play as good as you can and see the results. If challanging gameplay requiring to actually use brain is not fun for you then go survivor or other game.
This knowedgle doesn't help either, no matter how good killer you become you know that only hooks you have are because someone ######### up and knew how to exploit this mistake. Even mori, iridescent heads Huntress is crap due to her movement speed. Loopable for minutes on every single map unless they run into dead end.
