Terminator in DBD
But what if the developers have prepared a Terminator for us? If recall the information that the new Killer will be able to break walls...
What do you think?

If they weren’t coming out with a Wall Breaker, I’d love a Terminator killer. What I really want (other than Chucky) would be a robot ninja! We got a Samurai now we need ninjas!

They had terminator license for Deathgarden but it died (Deathgarden, not terminator). Maybe they can also use it for dbd. It's much more probable than jason, since he is still stuck in lawsuit (jason, not terminator).

Only if you can shoot survivors on the spot.
6 -
If Terminator is the next Killer, I want the following to be written in his lore:
That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

Terminator would be super cool for Dbd. I'd be 100% on board.

Insta-buy.

In principle, developers can make him the next Killer, because they already have rights to him (from DG) and he is humanoid in appearance.
5 -
Terminator without a gun?
Gonna nope that.
The t-1000 would be fine without a gun. But we would get the t-800

It'd be an awesome addition, and since it's being put in every other game lately (Mortal Kombat 11, Gears 5) I can't see why it can't join us here!
5 -
Why not? Without weapons, he still poses a great danger. Well, perks such as Spirit Fury and Enduring would suit him perfectly.
1 -
Developers, let us know what you think about this! @PatBrutal @Peanits @not_Queen @Almo @Dave and other devs

I was actually thinking about this recently, and at first thought I was like no of course not...but as I got thinking about it? I honestly think he would be one of the best fitting characters and give them a real fun futuristic sci fi character to diversify things while still making it fit the world.
As for gameplay, just think about it:
-Anytime he mori's someone he can go "You're terminated..."
-His red stain can have a red laser inside it that swoops up and down like he is constantly scanning in front of him.
-As mentioned he was already in Deathgarden so rights wouldn't be too complicated.
-He could have a progressively changing model, and his secondary passive powers could be related to it. He starts off with bio-organic tissue over his metal endoskeleton; but anytime he gets pallet stunned or hit with a decisive strike or head on or anything, that slowly damages it until just the metal endoskeleton is left; at which point his secondary ability effect kicks in.

not the way rights work. negotiation was for the character's appearance in DG, they weren't given a waiver to use the Terminator in everything and anything. in theory the lines of communication are already open so it'd be simple to get another opportunity but with how badly DG failed idk. there's also the fact that the Terminator is in Mortal Kombat now so i'm not sure if they really want to have it associated with a lesser brand.

Only if Kyle Reese is the survivor

Please no more terminator #########. They already ruined Gears of War 5. Long story but the important part. They added 3 terminator chars to the roster for pvp and horde. When the game launched it was a terrible mess full of game breaking bugs. No single mode worked perfectly. PvP, PvE not even the single player campaign. It's been nearly 5 months and the game is still buggy. It really should have been pushed back a year and I seriously believe it was terminators fault. There was probably some fine print that said "Game has to be out before the movies release"
Terminator already ruined one of my favorite franchises, dbd is already going down the drain. Let's not give Terminator another notch on it's belt.

I would love to see a Terminator, but not a T-800. I would love to see a T-1000.
It gets a little stealth by appearing like a Survivor until it is close enough to change to its "normal" form. Also, the whole liquid metal sword hand thing could be cool AF
1 -
It would be like a variant of GFs power. It sucks that voice chat would ruin it. The idea of a shape shifting killer has been around for a long time but swf would make it impossible.
0 -
Yes. But that would be like having thor without his hammer
0 -
Please no. I really like Terminator 1 and 3* and to see such a powerful enemie looped would be sad :|.
There are some non-licensed killers better. No one cares if they are too weak to push a barricade by side, or to stupid to jump over a loop.
Edit: Ah and before I forget it: Terminator: Resistance - a masterpice if you can endure the one or other human that looks a bit like a south-park-animated 3d character.

The licence depends on whether there was clarification that The model would be used for a behaviour product or specifically deathgarden.
Agreements tend to be very specific so I doubt that the same license agreement would cover a new chapter however I don't see why they wouldn't give permission and a new agreement to dbd for the terminator and maybe a few extras for going through with the deathgarden content which might be seen as a positive use of the license even though it flopped.

That sounds very cool. You can add a moment to him, as in a movie, when he kills a survivor, he examines him with his eyesight of the terminator and the inscription “Terminated” is displayed on the screen.

But after all, the authors of the Terminator will only be a plus. From an additional contract, they will profit from the purchase of DLС with Terminator

He wouldn't fit in the lore
1 -
With that logic you'll just get Man with knife, woman with knife, old lady with knife, baby with knife as your choices for killer. Demogorgan "didn't fit" either but they got him to fit perfectly in the game.
1 -
Maybe the emotions he causes on survivors are so strong it can feed the entity just as well as a normal killer would.
3 -
He fits pretty well honestly I don't know what you are talking about. Just because it's different doesn't mean it doesn't fit at all, by that logic we would never have gotten Demogorgon. People said the same thing about him, that a monster or alien would never make it into the game because "It didn't fit the lore and theme of their world" yet here we are.
5 -
At least Demo is a leaving creature. I doubt entity is tech savvy
1 -
The entity already can pull people from space and time, that's all it needs to do really. It's right in it's wheel base in fact.
Beyond that once it realizes the only way back to it's mission is to do what it's told, it will do so endlessly while gathering data in the process. Basically the plot to it in mortal kombat and it worked fine.

As much as I love terminator, I wouldn't want to see him without a gun, he's strong sure but without a gun he just wouldn't feel right
3 -
Neat idea, but no. Not scary, and they confirmed they will never go a Sci fi route
0 -
Ehhh that doesn't mean a whole lot, I've seen devs change their mind on things like that before. It makes it more unlikely than it already is, but not totally impossible.
0 -
Yeah, I can see that. Though he doesn't have a gun in mortal kombat except a few abilities and fatalities, I wonder if a gun in a mori, like he steps on your head and when you try and get up he just pulls out a sawed off and blam "You've been terminated".
Though I dunno, while I don't think the metal endoskeleton robot is too much of a reach for some reason, but I feel like having a gun even for a mori is what would never happen haha....so yeah probably not.
I do really like the idea though, if only for the reasons I suggested back at the start of the thread.

I'd be pretty unhappy to see Michael Myers and Freddy Kreuger in the same game of Horror next to a T-2000
0 -
But the universe of Dbd is essentially unlimited (almost). Developers can add anyone with a humanoid appearance.
1 -
in theory but again, DG totally bombed. also not sure what the agreement between BHVR and the license holders is - does BHVR pay up front or do they get a cut of each individual sale of DLC? also has to do with the way the brand is perceived, DG bombed and tbh DBD isn't doing too hot right now either so.
0 -
Please no more terminator anything. There's way too many games with the terminator in already I don't want yet another instance of one.
0 -
It would be cool, but could you imagine tbagging at a terminator when the exit gates are opened?
I mean, stun a Terminator with a pallet? Flashlighting him? Doesn't really make sense. He'll feel like a joke.
The memento mori would be cool though.
0 -
Devs wont add terminator too violent for childs. How would be terminator without guns? Also what about its mori?
0 -
I feel like that’s the only games the terminator has been in just to advertise the new terminator movie. Fun Fact: The new terminator movie bombed, funny how marketing works.
0 -
Why am I picturing Joson Vorhees sat in a courtroom in a nice suit, still wearing his mask?
I think both could be a Smasher. I'd prefer Jason, but if it was Terminator, I'd want the 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger skin.
0 -
It is unlikely that the Terminator will understand that he is being bullied. He does not understand human feelings. Even if he is in self-learning mode, I think it will be very difficult for him to understand. If it were Arnold, then he answered like in the film, something in the style of "Why are you doing these meaningless actions?" or "What do these movements mean?"
I would really like the Terminator in the game, but I do not understand the situation with pallets. He’s iron, he doesn’t feel pain. Only damage to system components. How pallets can affect him, because they are wooden?)))
1 -
If I was the license holder I couldn't see my creation run around without a gun, especially if its the model dedicated to armed combat....kind of makes the T-800 an abomination. T1000 sure, the newer models sure, but not the T-800. T-800 fits better in a shooting game which is what they already did with deathgarden.
0 -
The game has a killer with a chainsaw that brutally cuts the survivors. There is a Killer in the game that pulls the guts out of the survivor and eats them. There is a Killer in the game that rips out the language of the survivors. And do you think the Terminator will be more cruel? What?
About the weapon. The terminator can be a huge danger without it. Considering what speed he can develop and with what force he hits, which breaks through concrete walls.
1 -
Yeah, the skin for the Terminator in the face of Arnold would be nice. But imagine how need to fork developers to add this persona to the game?
0 -
Then what do you say about this? After all, here the Terminator was going to beat his hands, without any weapons. Yes, of course he was killed, but only because Kyle had a rifle. But survivors in the game have no weapons except a flashlight.
I believe that the Terminator can epic look without weapons. Recall at least a moment in the Terminator Salvation, where John and the Semi-Cyborg(I do not remember his name) fought against the T-800.
0 -
Well, he could have a gun and only fire it to break the walls or it could work like huntress.
0 -
If terminator would be released it would be lore wise to have perks focus on terminate one specific survivor (but we know devs doesnt like it😅) Also i dont think he need a shotgun for go throught walls just walk throught it like films. His mori should be brute force but how? 🤔Maybe punching survivor in the stomach while terminator hold it? Like terminator pierced him?
0 -
Every killer is supposed to have the ability to break walls.
Terminator just got added to MK11. Let him rest for a moment.
The Terminator is friendly. At least the T-800 is. So that means you can't use Arnold Schwarzenegger.
0 -
And where does Arnold Schwarzenegger? I mean the usual Terminator T-800 or T-850 series. Just an endoskeleton. Like in DG.
0 -
The thing is that people will demand it be Arnold Schwarzenegger. But the issue is that he is friend rather than foe. And the T-800, T-850, and "CARL" are all portrayed by Arnold.
The rest are forgettable other than the T-X and the base exo-skeleton.
