Demo players
Any simple tips or builds you can offer to help out? I play all killers except nurse at rank 1. I know people say clown is the worst killer in the game but man i get owned every single time I try to play as demo. I don't know what I am doing wrong lol. My current build is corrupt intervention, STBFL, PGTW, and BBQ.

You need to use the extra time CI gives you to set up portals. Otherwise, I'd swap it for NOED. You'll get flamed for it, but you paid for the game, same as everyone else!

MYC is decent on him

Those are good, corrupt intervention, devour hope, ruin and surveillance (though not that great), standard m1 pallet eater builds can be half decent... there is a lot you can do with him he is very versatile like that.
Clown may be worse but Demo is, IMO, harder to play, he has a steep learning curve because you have to always know when you can shred, how far you will go, what you can hit, etc.... cause' you basically can't miss it like, ever, or you lose way too much distance in a chase and you sorta look down a bit so you can't see very well or turn your view to keep track of them anymore.
You may have more luck learning on a standard M1 pallet eater build until you get proficient with shred imo; since you can be more selective with your shred that way and feel confident with other M1 killers already. I don't suggest staying with that forever though, because if you get good at your shred, you basically have a pallet eater build inside your base kit as is.
Edit: Also, his addon tier list just imo:
Rat Liver (Very important, it lets you move faster when charging of the abyss and makes a HUGE difference)
Deer Lung (Lets you get to where you need to be asap, which is entirely benefiting his portals purpose)
Mew's Gut's (This and black heart together can be good for learning shred since it lets you use it more)
Rat Tail (Lets you place them faster, very good, better with certain builds and strats than others)
Black Heart
Rotten Tripe (Like deer lung but not really as powerful, can be better or worse than above depending on strat)
Rotten Pumpkin (one more portal isn't too bad)
After that honestly I wouldn't even bother much with the others. Unknown Egg can have it's uses, but most of the portal stuff doesn't really help all that much because he gives so much info to survivors that it doesn't matter.
Edit2: Oh and make your choice can be kinda interesting on him too sometimes, since you can port back and take advantage of it.

I use monitor, whispers or discordance(early game), SAve the best for last. and bbq for portals and info.
Bait survivors with shred, if you can , shred the obsession dont stay too long in chases and instead teleport to gens for pressure.
May not be much. :/

If I were better at English, I could tell you something more....
Your build is fine. But I also recommend using sloppy butcher.

monitor is useless for him due to his stomps and rowr when he hit someone never use it.. whispers ar great on him as on every killer
sadly our demopls doesnt have any super wombo combo builds or perks.. kinda good on him is stbfl becasue ur shred doesnt count to removing your stacks while you hit obsession, but you nee dto be good at it..
im all ears is good on him as well due to preparing shred on running survivors
my personal build is CI, pop, im all ears and bbq.. bbq is actually reaaly good on him becasue if you have portal there you an just instanty port there or into the closest proximity..
addons : most of his addons are utter garbage - i have no idea what their testers and approvers for killers had in mind when they released him.. Only good and MUST HAVE addons are rat liver, and meows gutts.. another ookish addon is unknown egg.. otherwise all of them even ultra rare are just useless and never ever use them at all
most stuff like considerably increase this and this adds like 0.value to that atribute so really nice work devs..
try to use your shred as less as possible.. try to predict survivor and always have prepare shred when they will be running into tight corridor..
nice mindgame trick is while you are closing to him prepare shred, survivor is looking at you and most of the time they ** up their movement and got slowed. Then stop using shred and use m1..
so yeah your demo is most of the time totally useless and you really got to know when and how to use his power due to that his power is realy punishable. He definitely need portal rework, total addon rework, make some addons to his base kit and he will be fine

As a demo main here is my go to try hard build.
Corrupt Intervention: Amazing early game slowdown helps with portal placement early
Monitor and Abuse: Close distance easier without use of portals
Enduring: Makes you unfearfull of pallets in a chase, can lead to wombo combo's if the pansy out of a loop or if you hit them through a pallet.
Pop goes the Weasel: Slowdown baby
Addons: Purple Resin and Green Thorny Vines...
Put portals always on gens and now you have a bootleg surviellance and survivors have to waste time either destroying a very tough portal or give you free access to the gen they work on.
As far as using shred either bait it to get them to unnecessarily juke or just practice with it at loops and learn the timings and distances as well angles on certain tiles, that's all just practice, you wont master it at first but after many games of constant trying I am very good with it myself.
You dont need BBQ because that's what the portals are for and STBFL is too much of a flavor perk to be consistent, you'll often find it an issue to hit a survivor instead of getting a quicker shred or trying to shred an obsession only to miss and screw yourself over.

His dash is so bad with bad connection. İ stoped.playing him after dedicated servers.

Not being able to use STBFL seems more like a skill problem not a synergy problem, the perk is strong on other killers and is strongest on Demo. Am I wrong here?

I use multiple builds on Demo because I like to change things up. I find STBFL is definitely pretty strong on him, but it's not required or anything as it does have it's fall backs. The better you are though the easier it is to take advantage of it for sure, but once you get that good with shred you kinda find you don't use STBFL as much because it's better to shred usually.
That being said I don't have a problem with missing too many shred's on my obsession and having 8 stacks can be quite strong.

I've compared STBFL to the perks in my current build, it isn't useful nor consistent enough vs. try hard sweaty teams and can take a bit to get online thus lowering effectivity, are you a demo main with hundreds of games played on him? If not then i recommend you try and use that perk yourself and see how useful it is vs the top teams running around.

I mean I do use it against sweaty red rank SWFs and it works fine; I also have hundreds of demo games played, and I think it's really good on him. It can be funny with 8 stacks and overly altruistic survivors during end game too lol.
I don't rely on it though because there are plenty of other things you can do with him that are just as good, or maybe even better for you depending on your playstyle. I like using Devour Hope sometimes for example, because his ability to defend it is crazy good.

M1s requiring more work I understand, but I thought that was counterbalanced by the fact you can't lose stacks. Thanks for the response!

Yeah and Demo can very safely protect his stacks if he is attentive and good with shred; it's just at that point if you are good with shred you often find yourself not getting as many m1 hits as you should so it takes longer to ramp up. (especially against full sweat SWFs)
It's not bad by any means, but it's something I don't use every game, same with devour hope, they are good and interesting, but not the most reliable every game.
Demo is fun and well rounded like that, you can do a lot with him and in the end even if you make a bad choice, it can still be half decent. He can make the most out of a lot of perks.

I a big stickler for consistency, I go with builds that get me as close to a 100% success rate as i can as long as I play on point, STBFL didn't offer me that, against 4 pro looper survivors who focus gens and dont stupidly hook bomb STBFL doesn't do jack when every second matters and more then often you are going for shred's on loops.
DH I guess could be good, i haven't bothered to playtest it because totems aren't consistent

This is also a valid point, it's why I don't run it every time anymore myself. Once you can land shred you find yourself building STBFL up less and less, a lot of other Demo mains will agree on that too.
Still, I find it can be pretty strong on him regardless, it's far from bad. Even if it takes time to ramp up, it can do a lot of damage at 8 stacks and it's hard to lose those stacks as demo once you have them. It makes the end game altruism a lot more damaging, going from an m1 and then closing that distance so quick and getting a shred can be a hilarious 1-2 down before they can recover much from it, if they don't heal and are together you can slug so many of them so quick...it has strong merits still for sure, on Demo more than most killers.
Devour hope is a tricky one. You may not like it as you said, you want that reliability and if it's found before it's active, it's just gone and you move on with the 3 perks you have...which can be fine if you are not too perk reliant anyways. Thing is once it's active, also with good addons to help with it, they end up having to really dive that totem to try and break it and the portals you have near it, but it's very very difficult to do.
Demo is the only killer I've been able to mori survivors with using Devour hope, because he has a reliable defense for it, so long as it stays up till the 3 token mark. No point defending it before that it kinda gives it's location away.
This is what I love about Demo though, some builds might be a little better or worse on him, but overall he has SooOOOo many more build options than most killers because of his sorta jack of all trades thing he has going...plus he is cute as a button and the best angry meatflower around so :)

I use BBQ, PGTW, STBFL, and Dying Light with Mew's Guts and Rat Liver.
The first three perks are good and they synergize with his power. Dying Light is just a perk that I really like. I've been thinking about switching it for Corrupt Intervention to help me not lose three gens while setting up my portals, but I only have CI at tier 1 and I really like DL.
Mew's Guts gives you an extra portal and decreases your missed Shred cooldown by 0.25 seconds (it goes from 2.25 seconds to 2.00 seconds). This used to be its base cooldown but the devs raised it because apparently you could traverse the map faster by using Shred (not sure if you had to fully charge it or not).
Rat Liver makes you go 9% faster while charging up Shred (from 92% to 101%). It's a really big help because you are now faster than a Survivor while charging a Shred.
