Bots
As a survivor main, I love playing matches and testing out different builds. But all that ended because of the Ruin "Balance" and Rank change, the queue lines just got even longer. (Ps4 player used to be Xbox).
Everytime I enter a match, I get very odd killers that are either very toxic, very weird or just plain out cruel to others that barely did nothing. I'm at red ranks, (Bad ranks, worse then gray).
I can't wait nearly +10 to 20 minutes for a match anymore plus! Being in high ranks equal longer queue time in PS4, and I just need bots to come in the game. I heard this from the DBD mobile thing, please Devs add bots... I just wanna play this game like I did 2 years ago.

I think this is a great idea! It is shown that behaviour is capable of doing this (as shown in the tutorials) but they only have set instructions. (Move one way to hook, or called in the shack to have their input to walk down and unhook you)
They may be able to do this, but I think that they are too lazy to do that, or they don't have the knowledge or materials to do it.
All in all, love the idea!

No, actually. At one point in the past they said it would be too much of a bother. For example making them either too smart or too dumb.

Yes bots can be a nice add for new players to practise and learnig a bit, and also a thing to try a build for example. Maybe thay can be also very challemging and optimal at max difficult (hope not dumb). Maube can be a probem with certain killer like nurse to be specific.

AI is one of, if not the most difficult thing to code. There is a huge difference between creating a bot that runs along a preset path and performs an action, like those we see in the tutorial, and creating a bot that thinks and acts like a human being. There are so many hundreds of variables in a Dead By Daylight game that affect the decisions players make throughout, and all of those would have to be accounted for and programmed around.
It would take many months, if not years, to build functioning bots for Dead By Daylight that could be played against in matches, and balancing and bug fixes would suffer in that time because a large chunk of their existing resources would have to be devoted to building AI. Yes, it would be nice to have, and it's not a hard no from the devs, it's just nowhere near being a priority right now. Not because they're too lazy or don't know how, but because they have more important things that they need to devote their resources to at the moment.

But they have bots in dead by daylight mobile though? Whenever a player dcs, a bot replaces them, so they obviously have developed AI.

As I said, it's not that it's not something they could do in theory, it's that it's not something they're choosing to devote their resources to right now, for a number of reasons. Here's what a developer had to say specifically regarding mobile bots:

It is just a consequence of the ruin nerf without addressing gen rush.
Queue times may vary during the day, you may try playing at different hours.
I stopped playing as survivor. Long queue times and boring / easy gameplay.
As a killer, sometimes I get a rush when I 3-4k but I get overwhelmed easily by gen rush and survivors good at looping.
Dont think bots will fix the game. It will make the problem worse imo.

They can just put bots as dummys so you can train perks , train the killers or just train on the map simulate a run , training yourself as a killer or survivor.
