Noed needs a buff. Change my mind

I know this is going to attract the forum's MegHeads, so most comments are going to be "self-care is a good soloq perk" tier of comment

First: Noed has only one counter, cleansing totems, if survs do that, the perk is never going to even activate.

Second: Noed only activates on endgame, so you pretty much lost already, the most you can get is 1K with it, even insidious is better

This perk is one of the worst perks on the game right now, rewards the killer for losing gens, but it gives a bad reward, I really think noed should be buffed or rework, cuz right now, rancor is just better at everything

MegHeads are going to be mad

Hello, a Meg main here, and I disagree with buffing noed.

Your first point on totems is true, but the incentive to break totems over generators right now is incredibly low, unless doing a challenge or if you need boldness points. Without thrill of the hunt, it takes 70 seconds to destroy all five totems, excluding the time required to locate the totems and run between them. So to be honest, the counter is there, but in the early and mid game, it isn't really a priority, so NOED usually does get activated from my experiences. I only see the occasional Dwight and Nancy tackle a totem, or a random survivor wanting to complete a totem challenge, but I rarely see commitment to break all five totems.

NOED can be quite powerful in the endgame, similar to adrenaline. Both perks give second winds to their respective roles. You catch up to loops quicker, you can end chases faster and traverse the map swifter. The only buff that I could somewhat agree to is gradually building up speed during the match after each generator is done which amounts to the value that is currently in place for noed.

So tier 1 noed would give you +0.4% extra speed per generator completed, giving you 2% after all generators are done. Tier 2 would give 0,6% up to 3% and tier 3 would provide 0,8% up to 4% after all generators have been completed. If that would be the buff, I can somewhat agree with a noed buff. It gives the perk slightly more versatility during the match. However, if that were to happen, I would like to see a similar buildup in the survivor perk 'hope' to accompany such a change.

Also, I hate self-care, so that is something that I can avert myself from the usual meg stereotype.

NOED is insanely powerful with Whispers, Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, BBQ n Chili

Just like any other perk it's not meant to be powerful by itself, pairing things together with it make it useful

And if you're losing five totems and gens without anyone dying then you probably don't deserve the NOED to begin with

NOED is powerful if used right, if you're only getting one kill with it then you're not using it right. Do I believe it needs a rework? Maybe but I'm definitely leaning away from a buff rework

Words from a pretty much 50/50 killer Survivor player. So I know both sides of the effect from NOED

For a perk to need a buff, it first be weak. NoED is not weak. A total re-work would be better.

Not to mention if you have to rely on NoED for kills, then you simply don't deserve them. Just take a regular perk, LIKE RANCOR, that helps you throughout the game. Not just endgame.

On certain killers, it's also downright broken. Nurse, Spirit or Hillbilly all have insane mobility to capitalise on. Myers, GF, Bubba and Billy also have base-kit instant downs, and don't really need MORE of them.

As for your jest about Self-Care comments, it's literally an insurance policy for teammates who won't heal. "Necessary evil" and "good" are different things.

    Nice try, killer main.

Noed does not need any changes at all. If survivors manage to cleanse all totems, you got your value in the early game, if they dont, you get it in late game. The one or the other, it is worth a perk slot against bad players. Since 99% of the playerbase is bad, it is a good perk.

Good rework suggestion, then the perk is not annoying and somewhat good

Fym? Self care isnt a bad perk. If someone else heals you, its 16 seconds, self care is 32. So if you're using more than 16 seconds to find a person, its slower than self care.

Noed rewards killers for playing bad, so because of that, you’re already getting a buff you don’t deserve, noed needs a rework, not a buff. Depending on how you did before noed activated you get a buff when the exit gates are powered, and make it not a totem perk f.eks. No perks should come for free, partly the reason why ruin was reworked.

As for the rewards you get from noed? Always more than you deserve, if you get 1 person on the hook with noed, I’ve seen plenty of alturistic survivors coming to the rescue not wanting to leave their team behind, definitely not the play, but what newer survivors will do even before the totem gets popped.

Noed being the worst perk? Far off, we get 3 killer perks every chapter, usually only 1, maybe 2 perks becomes viable in a build dedicated to that perk, but people rarely use them. Then there are perks like mindbreaker, not very useful, plenty others but what came to mind (not a pun) in the moment.

I find mostly newer players gladly taking noed into the match, while more experienced players will instead bring a perk to help them avoid all gens being done without at least a few sacrifices

Self care a good perk? Sure, it’s useful, healing wherever you want is nice, worth a slot? No, people’s opinions and needs in a match differ, but I prefer using the slot for something else.

Hopefully remembered all the points, I’m typing on phone.

I dont like Simpsons no more, cause Family Guy is waaaay more "heavy humor" that makes Simpsons looks like childish cartoon.

Im here just to say that.

    Cant handle more NOED topics.

But I think this topic is about if Self-Care is good or not, and the NOED thing on title is just a click-bait. LOL

With Self Care i can take care of myself and sing "all by my seeeeeelf". I love Meg's head, its so round...
