PTB access via gamepass
Hey,
i wanted to know if u can access the ptb on pc, when u play dbd over the windows game pass for pc?
Or is it only possible via steam?

The PTB is only accessible via Steam, unfortunately.

Only possible through Steam as said above, plans to make it possible for the Windows version is currently unknown, if it can be done at all that is.
As for console I personally doubt something like that would be possible due to how limiting the console version is with this type of stuff.

The PTB can indeed be done on all platforms. Keeping up on the Data from all platforms would be the complicated part.
Here are examples of how games do PTB's on Console:
Overwatch: An Experimental Card, this card is where they will change all Heroes to their PTR state for consoles. This is their Public Test Realm.
PUBG: A PTS (Public Test Server) application, this application used to be a standalone application for consoles. But then got changed to a Xbox Insider's application instead (just like minecraft is on Consoles)
So it is indeed possible for all platforms, but it is unknown if they will ever do this do to the data collection complications.

We'll have to see than, we have no information on if BHVR even wants to implement something like that or not.
I just doubt that it's something they're interested at the moment, since Chapter 15 is arriving soon and the Rank Rework that's being worked on behind the scene are taking up some time.

True but adding more places like the PTB for the other versions would benefit the games health greatly.

I think the Rank Rework and other such balance issues is more important than the PTB being added for every version.
That's not to say i'm against it, but i'm sure the team has other priorities elsewhere at this time from a logical stand-point. It's a popular opinion though, so I wouldn't doubt something will be said in the future. If not, than i'm sure the console community will still keep it in-mind so "BHVR doesn't forget" I guess...
Also, i'd argue that a PTB for the other versions wouldn't benefit the games healthy greatly, but it would be a good "quality of life" improvement for the other versions of the game, so again, the concept is not what i'm against, i'm just saying that the team is spread out at this time (most likely) because of other issues that're plaguing the game at the moment.
