Do DBD moderators really check in-game reports ? (post-match)

so 1-2 days ago, i reported an individual in the after game menu by submitting their unsportsmanlike behavior. basically was with a swf group and the killer at the end of the game told us to “kill ourselves” which really i don’t care about but they did include some serious threats after that saying that they’d track our ip addresses and they imposed ddos threats as well. that’s when i really started to get worried, so i reported it but nothing happened to him? i was playing with the individual today as survivor and he was playing survivor as well in one of my matches and i realized it at the end of the game when he rudely mentioned it to me. so just wondering, is there another way i should have reported this individual?

With the amount of people i've reported for similar behaviour. I doubt it. If they do - do anything with reports, then maybe add a compensation feature for when action is taken against someone you reported like a thank-you message and a free 1000 bloodpoints.

Yes, in-game reports are checked and taken care of through proper procedure. They can't exactly tell you how it's going since there isn't a way to do that, if you want to follow up with the report to add anymore information like screenshots, a decription, etc, than you can do so by submitting a support ticket to follow up with your in-game report.

If you just report it in-game, than the issue is taken care of behind the scenes, but if you're unsure if anything is being done, than you can follow up with a support ticket to confirm your suspicions.

here's the support ticket for context

Real life threats and ddos attacks are of course taken seriously, so I wouldn't have any doubts that it's being ignored if that's what you're thinking, i'm sure they're either looking into it when it comes up in the list and/or already taken care of the issue.

What you're describing is absolutely bannable and taken very seriously. There are two possibilities as to why nothing happened: the first is that they felt there wasn't enough evidence to take action, which would make sense if they themselves are unable to see the post-game chat (to my knowledge, it's never been confirmed whether they can or not). I always submit a Support ticket with screenshots just in case, to make sure they have sufficient evidence, using the link FireHazard posted above. Make sure to submit under the "Additional player report information" category. If you do have screenshots, I would strongly advise you to follow up your report with a ticket to ensure appropriate punishment.

The second, and in my opinion more likely, possibility is that the team are just very busy at the moment and have a lot of requests to get through. Sometimes it takes more than 1-2 days for a Support ticket or player report to be seen and processed (since I believe they go to the same place), so it's possible that they just haven't got to yours yet and that's the only reason why that player hasn't been punished.

It can be a lot of reports. I guess that reports can stack and who has more reports take the priority.

I don't really think that's how it works, like a support ticket it's taken care of in a list, when it comes up in that list than it's next to be taken care of.

They do this with the support tickets to keep things organized, so I wouldn't doubt the same is done with the in-game reports as well. But who knows, maybe it's done entirely differently, but from a logical stand-point i'd assume it would be the former.

I have like 50+ triggered survivors each day, because of tunneling and camping. Many of them tell me that they report me. Now imagine 10 000 or more players. That can be 500 000+ reports per day. What if devs have only 1-2 guys looking at reports? What if they dont work full-time? I believe there must be priority list.

I doubt only 1 or 2 people work on the in-game reports each day, and when most people say "i'm going to report you" that usually means they're just trying to scare you and don't actually report you.

I also doubt you have 50+ angry Survivors each day unless you intentionally fish for it, which if you don't than you must be a magnet for abuse I guess.

    besides all that above...

You know as much as I do, it could a priority list OR it could be like the Support teams ticket system, where it goes over each individual in-game report one at a time within a sector of specific mods that take care of it, just like how the Support team takes on reports one at a time for each support member that's available at that time.

We have no idea how it works, but I can assure you that it does work. As said before though, you won't be notified about the in-game report again unless you follow up with a support ticket to confirm your suspicions. If you don't, than it's taken care of behind the scenes.
