Game is too fast at high levels with Ruin nerfed into the ground. Unless your are Billy or Nurse.

So with Ruin nerfed I hardly want to play killer these days as the game will just end in like 5 minutes even if your a just chasing. Many other people feel this way too which is while survivor ques on US eastern are really slow as killers dont want to play.

Please consider reverting ruin or adding 15% extra time to gens.

I really hate seeing these posts. It isn't hard to have pressure as killer. I'm a Demogorgon main that uses BBQ, M&A, Unrelenting, Ruin (yep, now that Ruin is different, and actually requires a killer to pressure a survivor off of the gen, I use it, on certain killers. Before, I avoided it like a disease).

It doesn't matter what killer you play as, if you play well; with a strategy etc; you will not be having 5min matches often. If you don't juggle pressure, and don't make the right decisions, you will lose gens quickly, because what else is a survivor to do if they've cleansed the totem and searched a chest in that area already? It's a 4v1 afterall. Obviously ignoring the matches where toolboxes are spammed by most survivors in the lobby. 'M1 killers' don't struggle as much as people say they do with pressure.

This is a dumb post. As a legion main I don’t understand your concern. In my honest opinion, ruin is actually BETTER than it was before since I can force people off gens and they have to mend. If you’re struggling to apply gen pressure, change your playstyle. People are forced to do certain things. Don’t rely on the same strategy all the time. Adapt to survivors movements. Ima rate this post (2 points out of 10) due to fact matches actually tend to last 7-8 minutes giving this game a general skill ceiling of 5.6.

Or hope that players like you will start learning killer gameplay. I played survivor for the vast amount of time and played more and more killer since the last chapter, and you know, I now can even 4k in redranks as a Trapper without any slowdown perks. Face the reality. Youre just not good enough, if even a killer newbie like me can play well in redranks.

I have to agree with the majority of the answers here. I use new ruin at rank 1, and for the most part I do very well. There’s always that 1-2 swf teams that I just can’t beat but I win the majority of my matches with 3-4ks and I play every killer not just Billy or nurse. Try BBQ ruin pop and discordance/surveillance. It’s actually a very nice build.

The problem is that the Ruin changes were a good idea (having a perk that feels NECESSARY is bad game design), and fine for a lot of killers (the ones who have naturally high gen pressure like demo, nurse, and legion.) But for some of the killers who have very low mobility, and low gen pressure, the loss of ruin has set them back a fair bit.

Some killers are just fine with the new Ruin because they have high mobility and can still delay the game by pressuring gens properly. But the slower killers now have a MUCH harder time early game. The best thing to do is to keep Ruin as it is, but slightly buff some of the underperforming killers who were affected the most, like Trapper, or Clown.
