Double the bp cap on double bp event
As title says, wount it be a cool thing?
It can br done in 2 ways,
1: simply double the limit of total bp you can have fro 1 to 2 milione for the duration of the event, than lock it back ton1 milion, if someone have more, it wont go up until you go under 1 milion.
2: double the bp cap for each game, from 32k to 42k, obviously every in game event should give double.l points too...
I think the first one is the esiest to do for the devs and the easier to "reset" when the event is overd...
Opinions?

It would be nice, but not really that big of a deal. The only time this would even be necessary is right before a new killer or survivors drops. Just spend your bloodpoints more often.

Forgot to ask, is there a double bp event coming?

Double 32 is 64, not 42, but otherwise I think this is actually a pretty good idea. I'd definitely prefer the first suggestion though, since I don't find the in-match bloodpoint cap at all limiting. I don't remember the last time I reached it, so doubling it would do nothing for me. Allowing people to take advantage of the event by stockpiling more bloodpoints would be nice, though.

Nothing's been announced.

Seem the 2ml bp cap is a better idea, wandering if we can forward the suggestion to the devs somehow

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the 1m BP limit originally to stop people hacking BP into the game (or rather limit the amount)?
I'm curious if that concern still warrants the 1m cap or if it could be increased/removed. I'm almost positive in the very early days of DBD there was no cap and it was added in pretty early too.

Honestly they should just eliminate the cap. Both for matches and the total you can have.

I have no idea about that but I could be wrong.
I think the reason the bp is capped at 1mil is so you can't P3 a killer/survivor the day they release. Granted if you have 1mil saved up and shards to buy perks from the shrine you already have you can really lvl up a new killer before you even use the. When GF came out I think I got him to p1 when I first played as him. Had 1mil saved up and bought 2 perks from the shrine.

Out of curiosity @Peanits is it possible to shed some light on the reasoning for 1mill BP cap and the possibility (or not) that the cap could be increased?

For what it's worth, #2 would not be necessary since bloodhunts are a post-match bonus. They don't increase the points of everything you do in the trial, they take your end score add a 100% bonus to it. This ignores the normal 32,000 cap. If you were to hit 32,000 points in that match, you'd get 64,000. BBQ & Chili works the same way.
Way back in the day, it was added to deter cheaters. It's since outlived that purpose since save files aren't stored locally anymore and we've tightened down on cheating quite a bit. These days it kept at 1,000,000 to prevent someone from immediately maxing out all of the new content the moment it comes out.

What is the purpose of that? Isn't the point of new content getting to play the new content and not having to grind to get to play the new content after it is all ready released?
At least speaking from personal experience the incredible grind to get a new killer up to par heavily disincentives purchasing new killers. There are more than a few killers that would be fun to play that I would like to buy that I currently don't because I know it will be literal months before they would get the perks necessary to be effective.

"BeCaUsE GrInD Is FuN"

I mean....why? Like if they want to do that just let them? Like it's their bloodpoints they saved up, there is no reason to really stop them from doing that short of "We want them to grind" which is honestly just kinda lame ideology.
Especially given how many bloodpoints it can take now to get the builds you need, you could give them a 2 million cap and they still might not get it so I can't imagine not at least letting people get 2 mil cap so they can hit 50 and MAYBE have the perks they need or want.

Just increase it to a Billion. That's not much of an increase. I'm from the U.S.A so I should know. I plan on being a Billionaire myself. Just gotta keep selling these street tacos.
It's a shame killers can't afford healthcare though. I heard they were making a killing.

It's to keep people coming back to play the game, no grind, no need to play as much. They want to keep their rosters up.

Yeah but by making them have lousy games because they don't have that perk they need to slow the game down some or actually find a survivor when they need to.
It's really just a selfish intent on their side honestly; like they are so afraid that people might not play as much if they don't restrain them, that they would rather they have a poorer time or experience as long as they keep those playtime hours up....

Meanwhile, you can forgo redeeming tome challenges to Max out all the new content the day it releases.

what's the point of holding onto 1 million bloodpoints? i don't get it.. there's only one thing to do with them.. do it

What’s the harm in maxing out content quickly? Seems silly.

Yeah, you're still putting the same number of hours into the game just before the new content comes out.

If you want to prestige a character for one thing. It would be nice to be able to just power through it without worrying about the cap. Also the people who want new Dlc characters to have good perks quickly.
