A think about Chest/Gate opening interactions

So as we have all noticed by now. Progress is being added to the chest before your character even begins to dig around. Just like how progress is added to the gate before your character even pulls the lever down to activate it.
Just saying that you should change it so that progress isn't being added until the character actually properly begins to interact with it.

Thatd be great. No more progress tapping0

This is something that has always confused me in a logical sense. You could argue that part of the time taken is the pulling the lever, but then why does it keep progressing the second time the lever is being pulled?
So I agree.

Yeah, especially gen tapping for a split second to stop it from regressing while in a chase0

I think gen tapping is a different issue from the interactions, I see what you mean but I think the chest/gate interactions should be treated differently.
