Killer Disconnected but I Get Matchmaking Ban??

I’m not sure if this is a bug or what, but I was playing a survivor match and around halfway through, the killer disconnected. In the post-match screen it had the DC icon next to both of us and I lost a pip and have the temporary matchmaking ban. I didn’t get kicked out of the entire game so I don’t think it’s WiFi related. This was on PlayStation.
