Getting hit while near a hooked survivor counts as a protection hit
Platform: Switch
Issue: I was rescuing a survivor off the hook (the two other survivors were healthy) when the Wraith uncloaked and hit me before I could unhook. However the game gave me a stack of Mettle of Man even though the survivor was still on the hook.
Reproduction: Take a hit while you're near a hooked survivor and see if you get a stack of Mettle of Man.
Addendum: This is the second bug I found relating to protection hits so I advise looking over the mechanic as there might be more bugs relating to it.

It's not an bug. It has always been like this. Before this new patch I as playing with MoM for several matchs and my quick way to gain tokens was taking one hit before unhooking the person and then unhooking and taking the hit again, plus 2 stacks. You will always get protection scores when the killer hits you and you're very near an injured survivor (I think its like 4 or 5 meters, idk)

Isn't that the purpose of bug reports? To report minor things that might have slipped under the radar.

because knowing a bug exists and then exploiting the bug is a bannable offense if it is found out. plus that could easily have affected other aspects.. like we're gonna live for ever....

well in this case its much more crucial bugs out there if this actually was a bug.

Yeah there are bigger bugs but we can report those as well. No reason to not do both.
The purpose of a bug report forum is to report all bugs, no matter how small. If we discourage people from not reporting bugs because they are "not important" then this subforum would be useless.
