Lost item upon escape?

Escaped out of hatch and i understand with the new update you lose your add ons no matter what but i had a purple med kit and lost it entirely after escaping the game.

The exact same happened to me yesterday escaping through hatch, I still had my medkit and lost it, I also play on xbox one
