Accidental “crossplay” user on the switch??

issue: I was in a lobby when oht of nowhere a survivor joined. This survivor had what appeared to be a global symbol besides their username. I went into the discord to ask what this meant, and i got replied with “Its a windows store user” however i was playing the switch version. It is also worth noting that the users name exceeds switch profile naming character limits, and when i tried clicking on the profile, nothing appeared
This is the only time it happened to me
