Deathslinger Harpoon bouncing off Survivor

Description: When firing at a Survivor, the harpoon appeared to hit them, with the Survivor performing an ordinary hit animation, but the harpoon simply returned to the gun.
I don't know how to reproduce this.
This has only occurred to me once in the 8 games of Deathslinger I have played so far.

Edit: I just realised that the Survivor used Dead Hard, although the fact that they performed a hit animation instead of the Dead Hard animation is still weird though.
