Monstrous Shrine rework idea
So, I thought about it for a while. And the MS perk is just garbage: it's super situational and even if yo uhook somone in the basement - the bonuses are too low to care either way - I mean there are THREE bonuses on it, and it's still garbage.
So I've been thinking: do we really need to shave off time off hooks? Unless it's something big, it's not that useful, and a large increase in progression would just be boring for both sides. So let's throw the progression bonuses altogether, and maybe even forget the hooks for a bit.
===============================
Monstrous Shrine
Your fervent care of the Hooks found in the Basement has aroused the Entity's interest. Now it's everpresent in the basement, eager to whisper chaos into anyone who comes close.
- Survivors in the basement are affected by Oblivious and Blidness status effects
- This effect persists while in the basement and for - / 2 / 4 seconds after coming out of the basement
===============================
Hooked survivors don't know how far you are and can't communicate this info to the teammates. Neither they know if anyone is coming for them if it's a solo queue.
All survivors in the basement (including healthy) have no idea what's going on outside the basement, which would allow you to catch them unawares. Blindness in turn covers for Object of Obsession - a perk that would allow to counter the Oblivious effect.
Also Oblivious affects perks that rely on the Heartbeat - meaning Borrowed Time would never trigger even if you are right next to the unhooking in progress.
Yeah, this is my idea - it doesn't make the perk neither overpowered nor boring, but provides counters and plays.
