Leatherface rework idea :)

Hey guys, I've had these ideas for a Leatherface rework and I hope you guys like it!

Explanation for a rework: Leatherface is a boring character to play as (in my opinion as well as many)... he's a cool horror icon but he feels weak and boring sometimes during gameplay. Also his face camping skills are what he excels at, but that shouldn't be a thing he should be proud of so hopefully this rework helps make him better as well as punish LF who camps.

Rework: He still has his iconic chainsaw and still does what it does however his chainsaw usage is now based off charges with a max. of 100. Every second he revs his chainsaw, he loses 1 charge of his chainsaw. If he no longer has any charges, he is unable to use his chainsaw until he has more charges. Additionally he is now capable of throwing his chainsaw up to a max. length of 8 meters. Throwing his chainsaw will instantly down any survivor who come in contact. When his chainsaw reaches the floor, it will continue to swirl and rev, downing any survivor who comes in contact. However, it will still lose 1 charge per second until LF picks it up. (throwing his chainsaw can now give him insane chase potential and help with loops as he can now throw his chainsaw onto the floor and COMPLETELY makes the loop un-playable by the survivors)

LF can earn chainsaw charges by the following:

  • Default: Every 2 seconds LF isn't revving or using his chainsaw, he earns 1 charge
  • Hooking survivors grant 5 charges
  • LF can now go to a gen with progress and instantly steal fuel, this grants him 25 charges and takes 25% progression away from the gen (This ability has a 60 second cool down)
  • LF can now go to a meat station and eat human meat (takes up to 7 seconds) and instantly refuel 25 charges. Due to the human meat he ate, he will receive a 3% haste speed effect until downs a survivor, this CAN NOT stack with multiple meat stations (up to 4 meat stations are loaded into the map and when hooking a survivor, the nearest meat station becomes ready to be used)

Add-ons: (just some of them)

  • Meat Bowl (iridescent rarity): reduces the default charge gain from 2 to 1 second per charge and increases the maximum charge limit from 100 to 110
  • Iridescent face mask (iridescent rarity): Hooking survivors now grant 40 chainsaw charges (instead of 5), but reduces the amount of meat stations from 4 to 1. Meat stations no longer grant a haste effect
  • bloody meat coat (purple rarity): When LF steals fuel from a gen, the gen continues to regress and the regression is doubled for 20 seconds
  • Old bottle of beer (purple rarity): LF no longer loses charges during the chainsaw sprint and when its on the floor
  • Stolen police outfit (purple rarity): Reduces the cool down of the "stealing fuel from gen" ability from 60 seconds to 45 seconds. (no other add-on can reduce this ability's cool down)
  • Broken wheelchair (purple rarity): Using a meat station will also grant the undetectable status effect for 35 seconds

Further explanation of this rework: I wanted LF to do more with his chainsaw other than using it to camp or boring-ly use it for cheap hits so I included this fuel charge system to punish those who just rev it right in front of hooked survivors, but this also opened up some more opportunities for him such as him being able to steal fuel from gens. This will now give him more pressure with gens and help slow the game down. I also added the meat station (referencing to his background as a cannibal) and grant him some cool abilities as well to make him more special. His ability to throw his chainsaw should make him more threatening and help with loops as he can throw it next to a window or pallet and basically force the survivor to leave the area or risk getting downed. This should make him much more fun to play as and less stressful

Clarification:

  • LF doesn't need to physically go back to his chainsaw to pick it up, he can also call it back using the entity's help. This will take 3 seconds but slow down his movement speed by a little
  • His ability to steal gen progression for fuel/charges is a different action then kicking a gen, so if you have PGTW, you can steal fuel which steals 25% progression and still be able to use the perk. (stealing fuel doesn't cause the gen to continue regressing so thats why perks like that can still work)
  • His chainsaw throwing ability can ONLY go up to 8 meters and takes only 1 second to wind up the throw. As for height, it can not go higher than his own height so don't expect it to be sniping ppl from multiple floors
  • Meat stations can NOT be used right away, a survivor MUST be hooked, then the nearest station will be available. Also if you don't know what I mean by meat stations, just imagine Freddy's clock stations but with more meat and gross things LF eats

I hope you guys like my concept and please refrain from talking about other things OR talking about your idea without acknowledging mine (its my pet peeve)

    The idea of throwing the chainsaw, stealing fuel from generators, and the meat stations are all very excellent ideas. While a little rough around the edges, with a bit more tinkering I feel this could become a viable concept for the Cannibal to become much more fun. In fact I may actually take a few elements from this when I try for my own rework of the Cannibal. Credit will be provided of course. As I said, very fun idea, just needs a bit more fleshing out in certain spots, and a full list of addons.
