Add a map banning system please
In dbd, they are so many boring maps, it is just insane! However, they are also a lot of great maps which are balanced, beautiful and fun. How about the killer can ban 4 realms (like all Autohaven variations for example) and each survivor can ban one map? This would make boring maps much more rare and make it so fun maps get picked way more often, without requiring much effort from the devs.

Somewhere I saw a 2019 discussion thread with a similar idea. However, rather than banning maps/realms, they had suggested allowing the killer to select a map out of 3-4 options that would appear after everyone had readied up and been locked into the match.
If they replaced maps with realms, this could be tweaked into a solid workaround to the issue. Killer would be able to use their best judgement to try and select a map they believed would work with their build (no more Huntress on Underground Complex or Hag on Rotten Fields). A BP boost could be applied to realms not played recently and realms that are traditionally more survivor-friendly.
Plus, you could prevent yourself from playing the same map multiple times in succession when the matchmaker freaks out (my worst record was getting Pale Rose 11 times in a row between both sides).
However, for this to work, they would need to either add more maps to the smaller realms (especially the single-map ones) or find ways to consolidate some of them (ie, Swamp and Yamaoka Estate maps share many traits and could be part of one grouped realm). The other problem with this system is that maps such as Ormond, Haddonfield, and The Game would likely go almost completely unused from this point forward (as killer would gain more control over the map rotation), though it could be a good opportunity for all three of them to see some design adjustments.

Imho, there is no need to that. Map offerings already do the job.

4 against one. Its just non sense.

The problem with map offerings is that you can conflict with other players, rendering it useless. It's also not feasible to burn a map offering every match just to ensure you don't get a map that doesn't work at all for your killer/playstyle.

Wow. So y don’t they just let the killer pick there best map every time. They help these crying killers with everything else. I play both killer and survivor. They have made this a one sided game in favor of killers. Just keep crying I’m sure they will change it

No thanks. They should just make the maps more enjoyable.
And? That's totally fine. The only conflict that can't be aleviated is between survivors and killers. Survivors are fully capable of saying 'Hey I put this map' so then the other people know to not waste their map offerings.
Map offerings aren't weighted so putting the same one doesn't increase their chances of being picked. If you're going to tell me that 4 people put 4 different maps (incredibly rare) on top of your own map then that's damn near the same as having a random map chosen.

Where does it says so? I didnt know to be honest. Then i guess map offerings are good.

@Oicimo map offerings are not every game to prevent stupid maps.
@Ohnoes I think it would take a vetter dev team do do that.
@APoipleTurtle nah, that would just be a buff for killers, and the game is balanced right now.

I read it on here when a topic came up about it but after looking on the wiki the modifier is 9999 for a map offering. It's probably the max value so they can't be stacked. Stacking maps might've been possible when they had the uncommon and common ones though since they had a far lower value. I didn't play back then so no idea if that was ever a thing.
