Can't wait for the mid-chapter patch with the upcoming perk changes <3
With the latest stream Ethan said that the perks like: this is not happening, vigil, slippery meat, any means necessary, cruel limits, small game etc. will be looked at <3 Jesus finally Vigil will be looked at. I'm so happy <3

I really want to see what they change with any means necessary, I was really looking forward to this perk just to find out it's pretty much useless.

Just for the record so y'all don't get your hopes up too much, the perks mentioned in that Q&A are not necessarily slated for the mid-chapter, they're just a few perks that have designs that we're planning to use in the future. They'll come over time, not all at once.

Monstrous shrine when?
9 -
Will at least Curel Limits be in it?
1 -
And when is the mid-chapter coming?
2 -
I am really excited to see a new Killer rework/update with the proper map rework <3
2 -
What's up with those green fingernails?
0 -
Wooo only one killer perk 😑, when there is more useless killer perks
10 -
There'll probably be more killer perks, they only mentioned a few that they were looking at.

Why is this guy posting a video that was done back in January?
1 -
Unlucky they didn't mention any DS nerf/buff, make it so it can't be abused....
4 -
It'll go like this:
Survivors=buffs
Killers=Nerfs.
Bet noed gets it this time. Any takers?
4 -
So all survivor perks and one of many useless killer perks MAY get changed.
I almost got excited about that... almost.
3 -
Wow, more band aid fixes. So excited!
3 -
Usually different killer perks are good for different killers. Sloppy butcher might not be very good on Huntress, who mostly uses her alternate attack in chases, but it does very well on killers like the Oni who benefit from survivors staying injured for longer. If you judge a perk only by how it performs on your main killer, then there are a lot of "useless" perks that go really well with other killers.
4 -
Because the video had been posted around after the other mid-chapter update came out for Lery’s rework and the new archives, so they did the Q&A and they had mention those perks that are possibly getting a rework, it was 2 months ago but the stuff they had mention for perks ands what not was for future updates, that’s why this person mentioned it.
1 -
I'm still happy that these perks are gonna be reworked <3 The game definitely needs more useful perks that will (maybe) change the gameplay for better for both sides :)

There's a reason 90% of survivors use like 7 perks. Survivors have so much less variety in between in terms of usage than killers do.
7 -
How old is this?
0 -
Killers have only a few perks that could be considered useless like one -three.
4 -
If you cant get most out of them doesnt mean everyone cant. Im so sick of people trying to change the game because it doesnt work well for them.

Perk description: Any player who is hooked in the basement is automatically disconnected from the match.

Always good to see bad Perks getting life breathed into them.
Also, as a Killer main, I am in no way complaining about most of these being Survivor perks- Survivor perk balance is IMO undeniably worse than Killer's perk balance. Both have their fair share of garbage that needs to be looked at but Killer's perks are IMO in a healthier state.
Survivors being less predictable with their Perk selection is also just a big thing I want to see happen- Stuff like Dead Hard would be a lot more impressive and effective if I didn't always expect to see it.

Don’t touch my core perk for Basement Cannibal.

If survivors had more fun and useful perks at their disposal they wouldn't be using the same perks so consistently. The perks are separated horribly strength wise. There are a few in the S-A tier a small amount in the B, and a large majority in the D tier. If they literally just buff those D tier perks there would be so much perk variety. I'd personally love if they devoted a few months to buffing the weakest perks for both sides to finally shake up the meta.
2 -
You re just bad on using them.

NOED got buffed, why would they suddenly remove it?
0 -
yay! i love when old perks get a good treatment

Same

Uhh and when was this??
0 -
When it changed all levels to give the exposed status rather than just level 3

There are many bad Killer Perks, true, but there are more "useless" Survivor perks than Killer Perks.
There is a strong ~7perk meta many Survivors push. Sure, you can basically use what ever you want but if you want to play optimally there is no reason to use 90% of the perks they have. Killers on the other hand have many less "OP" perks, and have different playstyles, so they have more to choose from overall and since they have so few straight up useless perks they have more variety.
The main issue really though is that Survivors are always going to use the best. if BHVR buffs/changes Survivor perks but they aren't as strong, or stronger, than current Meta perks they will just continue gathering dust.

Wasn't it always like that?..
0 -
No, it used to be speed boost only until level 3 gave you the exposed effect.
Change log - 2.3.0 patch

Damn, never noticed and been playing for 3 years... Lol. Don't run noed so maybe that's why. Still think the speed will get a nerf tho.
0 -
It also works where it's not revealed that you have NOED until the gates are activated. From what I remember, there was always a random hex totem laying around that deactivated nothing, but then once the gates were powered a random dull totem would become noed. Now it's just everything is dull until gates are powered.

Technician- I would love if it got a benefit for hitting greats essentially to make it less of a noob perk and more of a stealth perk. ( My idea was technician giving you an increase in repair speed by stackable 1% for every great you hit. Stacks will reset upon completing or letting go of a gen)
Monstrous shrine- add an additional effect to this perk up on on being unhooked or unhooking yourself you are inflicted with a random status condition for 60 seconds. The rescuer is also infected with a random status condition.

Dude setting aside that you're mixing up noed and devour hope, you're just giving wrong info. Go read the wiki, the change logs are public.

I don’t recall any major killer nerfs recently, take your biased view elsewhere.
Toolboxes were gutted. Doctor has received endless, unnecessary buffs. Sabo was made easier at the cost of only being able to be used sparingly, and the hooks respawn pretty quick. Instaheals were gutted.
Where are the survivor sided changes here??
0 -
Hangman's needs to go back to how it was in the ptb.
0 -
How is it useless? You just lift the pallet back up, right?
0 -
Or Blood Echo?
0 -
Well, spine chills now kills any kind of stealth gameplay, tool boxes are fine IF you know how to use them, sabo is INSANE, how broken DS is (punishes killers who DON'T tunnel) 360's on console which pretty much act like a free DH, the ######### maps w god loops/windows, SWFs, I can keep going...
Ruin is now #########, nurse got nerfed beyond playable, oni got gutted, spirit got nerfed, pig and legion got nerfed again again(lmao), Freddy got nerfed, doctor is fine, only potatoes fall to him, deathslinger got hung out to dry, hell his perks are COMPLETELY useless. I can go on...
Try playing BOTH sides at red rank. Anyone that does that can OBVIOUSLY see the difference. Add in sWFs, even Stevie Wonder would see that #########. ✌

How many more buffs do you want survivors to have? Survivor meta is literally stacked 2nd chance perks which is annoying for killer's to deal with, with the ######### gen times and the fact that any and everything that makes killer's stand a chance is getting nerfed for the satisfaction of survivor's.
0 -
Maybe I've just been misunderstanding the perk. I've gone into matches prior to the patch and NOED was the only hex up, it'd show up twice, once at the beginning until cleansed and once the gates were powered. That no longer happens. Either that or I've been playing for the last 8 months blind, idk
0 -
Yet that wasnt a "buff". That was a QoL change.
0 -
Any killer with half a brain cell will just break the pallet. The perk also takes too long to actually use and has a ridiculously long cooldown.
0 -
but there are also more viable killer perks. viable survivor perks fit in two hands
0 -
You shouldn't break a pallet if you don't need to. It wastes valuable seconds.
0 -
So basically you can only reset pallets that aren't even worth breaking? Still makes the perk kind of useless.
