Hows my doctor build?

Survivor main who got into killer yesterday and went rank 20-15 in a few hours.

On Doctor, my build is Distressing, Ruin, Discordance, and Rancor.

Id like Bbq over Rancor but dont have it (yet)

Ive found I like Ruin more than Overcharge but either is fine.

Discordance I think is a huge help for the doctor. Really lets you keep pressure on.

And then Rancor is just a decent perk to track survivors.

Any recommendations?

Distressing isn't needed on Doctor. I'd recommend switching it for Whispers. Try to get it at tier 3, which is 32 metres so that you can have a less wide radius for it. 32 meters is also Doctor's terror radius, so it helps you use Static Blast at the right times. It's a good early and late game tracking perk.

Try to get BBQ as soon as you can.

The build I'd recommend once you can get the teachables:

BBQ, Pop, Save The Best for Last, and Whispers.

BBQ for bloodpoints and easier tracking, helps you waste less time.

Pop is great on a lot of Killers and helps you slow down gens.

Save The Best for Last is good on any killer that uses their M1 a lot. (for example: Trapper, Pig, Demogorgon, Hag). It helps you end chases slightly faster sometimes but there are a lot of times where it will help you chain a lot of hits. If Survivors start body blocking or hook bombing, you can shred through them super easily and get a few easy hits.

Whispers is so that you can use your Static Blast effectively all the time without wasting it. (Unless you're accidentally tracking a downed or hooked Survivor with Whispers). It's a good perk on Doctor for tracking and helping keep pressure.

I'm still using the classic doc combo of Unnerving Presence and Overcharge. Even experienced survivors often miss that skillcheck because the two perks are so rarely used. I don't personally like whispers but the utility is excellent since you WILL lose the match off one or two missed blasts. BBQ is great and I use it on every killer because it incentivizes you not to camp and save time, plus I'm always starving for bp. STBFL is a good alt for speeding up attacks, you'll land lots of hits as doc. Previously I was using Brutal Strength over Whispers because you want to kick everything asap with overcharge. If you want the most bp Distressing is acceptable over whispers and helps your Unnerving combo but you'll realistically get more mileage out of something else.

I'd say Distressing is a better perk than Whispers, because having a huge terror radius makes it less necessary to know whether the survivors are nearby as far as Static Blast is concerned, plus it gives you a lot of bonus bloodpoints.

At low ranks, Huntress' Lullaby is also a great perk on Doctor, because in combination with his passive "insane" skill checks, it makes them very difficult to hit, so good for tracking and slowdown.

Ruin is good as long as you can keep up pressure and stop them working on generators, which the Doctor is good at since you can't repair while in T3 Madness. If you're going to use Ruin, though, I would suggest you try Surveillance over Discordance, as the two synergise quite well.

Rancor isn't bad, but if you're using it for tracking rather than for last-minute obsession kills, Bitter Murmur is a better pick overall.

If you want to be a real cancer.

    Distressing/Unnerving Presence/Coulrophobia/Thanataphobia

If you're looking to have hunting perks

Ruin/Surveillance/BBQ/(4th perk can be whatever, STBFL is good, as well as slopping butcher, Distressing, etc. You're a doc so it's your call).

Exchanging Distressing for Whispers is a thing I tought today. But if you have Whispers tier 2 and Distress tier 3, you will get both working at 40 m. But best not occupy 2 perk slots for just 8 meters more with same result.

    Btw, wich is your question?
