Stuck to tree at Yamaoka Estate

I’m playing on PS4. So when I was playing I was trying to heal someone and wound up getting stuck to a tree. When the killer approached, they downed me and were able to pick me up and thus killed me, which pissed me off quite a bit being that it caused me to go from rank 10 to rank 11. This is the first time the problem as ever occurred to me, and I’m not sure what else to do rather than just report it. I thought it could’ve been the killer cheating somehow but I don’t think they’d do that. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
