For me it has to be Hex: Devour Hope, Nurses Calling, BBQ and Chili and either Sloppy Butcher or Pop goes the Weasel.

A good build for beginners is something like Brutal Strength, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention, and BBQ & Chili. It covers all bases and allows for a lot of versatility on a pure M1 Killer like Wraith.
Alternatively you can use something like Nurse's Calling and Sloppy Butcher instead of Enduring and Brutal Strength, this combo lets you see the auras of any Survivors within 28 meters while also increases the healing percentages with Sloppy Butchers mangled status effect. The two other perks can stay, but you can mix and match to see what works best with you.
