About the "design your in-game cosmetic" contest
Hello!
I am going to start by saying I love that you, BHVR, make it possible for the community to submit ideas that will, eventually, appear in game. It's an amazing initiative. I've seen plenty of, in my opinion, brilliant ideas.
Moving on to the reason for which I am writing this: like I said, there are plenty of brilliant ideas. By all means, I am no art critic. However, as of right now, after checking all the 350+ entries in this year's edition, I narrowed it down to 23 overall amazing concepts, 23 pieces that I would have a very hard time picking 2 winners out of. For what it's worth, I also checked all the ideas from last year's contest and, out of the over 600 concepts posted at that time, I narrowed it down to 46 entries.
So what does all I just said mean?
First of all, it means the community is very talented and creative and able to bring some massively different perspectives to the game. This is something that, I am sure, everyone agrees is a great thing.
Secondly, this means so many amazing pieces get left out and it's fair, you can only pick 2 winners; it's not just about the prizes, but about the amount of time it takes to take an idea posted on the forum and implement it in the game. However, at the same time, I would personally love to see every single one of the 46 ideas from last year's edition & the 23 concepts from this year's edition into the game at some point.
That brings me to the conclusion. How viable would it be for the team to:
- pick more than 2 concepts each year (let's be honest, at this rate, you are going to do this next year and the next...);
OR
- organize the contest 4 times per year while sticking to only 2 winners each time (this would be in line with the chapters)?
I hope a moderator reads this and forwards it to someone that would look at it and decide whether it's viable or not because, honestly, it saddens me to know only 2 entries out of even 23, let alone 46, get picked. I would pay for every single one of them, but not all of them will make the cut.
Thank you for taking the time to read!
PS. Yes, I am only speaking for myself, but I feel that a big part of the community agrees with everything I said.

I'm not one to ping a mod so sorry about this, @Peanits . I would love to know whether you think my suggestion is viable for the dev team or not
