PS4 - Recover randomly stops

On PS4 when trying to recover I've noticed it will just stop at random points the same way it would if someone has interrupted to heal me or pick me up. A couple of the times I noticed it was when the killer has been doing an action nearby - picking up a downed survivor and destroying a pallet. Not sure if the other times the killer was doing an action I couldn't see.
