Keys are unhealthy for the game

I don't joke about my keys. My keys aren't broken, they are misunderstood.

Imagine thinking they aren't. 🙄

Pretty sure it's implied in the first paragraph of my response. But to break down the comparison I drew and the suggestion changes that would make this viable...keys and mori's are often compared...even though moris are much easier to use. That aside, moris have levels. Yellow mori = kill last, green mori = kill 1, ebony mori = kill all. If you want to limit the number of people who can escape via key, the same needs to apply. Green key - escape 1, purple key - escape 2, ebony key - escape all.
But really, IMO no change is needed at all. Keys are perfectly fine as they are and far less common than their supposed counterpart, the mori. Simply limiting any key to only let 1 person leave would be a death sentence your teammate if you left them in a 2 v 1 with the killer. Hard pass. If survivors do all the gens necessary for 2 people to escape, 2 people should escape.

Or and here me out some iridescent should be removed too, iri head is a good example of an add on that's blatantly op and should be changed. Keys and moris should also be looked at, like what's the argument to keep them in the game as they are, to give people a way to circumvent their objective how is that fun for anybody.

So The idea would work, you're just being small minded and making moris and keys the same even though they're not. Ones a item, one is a offering. Having the hatch close instantly is a perfectly fine idea and even the King and Paulie Esther have agreed that this is a good idea. Just saying. So stop being small minded to idea

Yeah, the only time I bring a Mori is when I see someone with a key. Remove the ability for keys to open hatch, and nerf the ######### out of moris

Iri head would be fine with just a change to make it not stack with the belts. The only iri add-ons I can think of that really suck are doctors ones when he uses both at the same time.

Yeah that's fair I guess, I never really use iri add ons tbh, dont find them much fun. But yeah I'm not a huge fan of blatantly op items or add ons

I bring Mori's every time I see a key. You bring a broken item and I'll bring my own.

Not at red ranks, there are very common

Oni and Hag have Iri add ons that are detrimental to the killer. Demo's best add on is a brown. Trapper's best add ons are the carry ones' not the iri ones. Pink Doesn't equal op :/

You see so many because out side of Mori's, most killers have two Iri items that can appear in the Bloodweb. Huntress has 1 other and Billy and Bubba have zero. The counter for keys is that they are less common in Bloodwebs but you can also just find them in chests without the killer knowing you have one, Mori's need to be addressed but this is about keys

Just do bones!

Keys are "unheathy". Ebony and tunnel off hook is "healthy".

funny, same can be said about moris.
guess both are fine and balanced then?
or could it be that your answer has nothing to contribute to this discussion whatsoever and is nothing but a strawman argument?

my main problem with keys is, that they actively punish a killer for doing well and playing nice.
you didnt camp, you didnt tunnel and you killed someone? chances are the gen requirement for keys is eigther already met at that point or they are currently working on the last gen required to spawn hatch.
now at least two get out.
what did the killer learn from that experience? keys punish me for not getting rid of them asap.
then what will the killer do next time he sees one? eigther lobbydodge (but hey, thats why the last second switch exists, right?) or just hard tunnel the key user and anyone else who picked up the key.
thats no fun for eighter of the two sides - and its all just due to one single item.

Keys should only let the survivor holding it through the hatch only and not allow the others players to escape through it.

I've legit said in this very thread that you clearly haven't read that Ebony and Ivory Mori are issues. However, this thread, as per the title you also probably didn't read, is about keys.

I agree that they both need TLC... deleting them (especially moris) will never happen.... one of the first questions asked about a new killer is "i wonder what the mori will be?" and it's gotten to be almost artwork by BHVR, I'll be super stoked if they make Trappers mori where he smashes a survivors head in a bear trap. again they need TLC, going against a killer that wants to first hook mori and your teammates are potatoes is not a fun time.

Have yellow mori built in and make rancor more viable and make devour not spawn with a flashing arrow pointing at it

yeah but... there is still the achievement that needs to be thought of, and ivory still should be a thing... I do like the idea of mori requiring 2 hooks, it is difficult.. you don't wanna make them useless..... at least with keys you have the freedom to add more uses in place of ignoring part of the objective.

Which achievement?

kill all 4 survivors by your hand.
0 -
The achievement for killing everyone with a Mori, "Blood on your Face". I think there's one for doing your first mori as well.
Technically you could get it with Devour Hope, and we want to be really optimistic it's not impossible to get it even with Rancor and some superhuman obsession swapping trickery. But just like the "Where did they go?" or whatever the 4-man key escape achievement is called they pretty much guarantee that the mechanics of the mori and some way to open the hatch will remain in the game no matter what.
