EGC Ends but the Match Doesn't

The EGC timer ran out but the match didn't end. I had to quit out, and then of course I got...
So I lost out on all my BP and XP, and I got a time-out for an in-game glitch that I had no control over. Thanks, man.
Platform: PS4
It's only happened the one time so far, but given that if it happens again the punishment escalates I think I'm justified in being worried.
