Sprint Burst Malfunction

Platform: PlayStation 4
Description: I tried using Sprint Burst but it did not activate the Haste buff and I was immediately given the exhausted debuff.
Steps: No steps, but I was on Temple of Purgation against a Trapper and my perks were 'Sprint Burst', 'Boil Over', 'Prove Thyself', and 'Urban Evasion'.
Ocurrence: This is my first encounter.
