PS4 - Cannot select an item on bloodweb

I was buying items on The Huntress's bloodweb (at a fast pace I might add, one right after another) and after I had bought about a dozen items I couldn't select another item.
Closing the bloodweb did nothing. I also couldn't exit the killer role to go back to the main menu. I could go to the archives and go back to the bloodweb which would let me buy one item before the problem happened again. Had to restart the game to fix the issue. It's only happened once.
