I think i got idea how to solve balance problem and it is rather easy solution - Ranked and Casual.

Hello.


I want to present you my idea how to remove much of a toxic game and complaining of both camps.


Ranked Mode:

Will be determining your skill level (vissible one) and you can que up only with 4 friends. No randoms are allowed as it is supposed to be team game. So you need people to communicate with and cooperate to be competetive. Killer capability and strenght has been adjusted just for this situtation, it wont be easy.


Casual Mode:

You have hidden MMR, you will be placed with people of same skill celling as you have (most possibly as you can), you can start match SOLO ONLY, as game is intended to be played, you will be put with random survivors stranded in a fog to survive brutal killer awaiting you.


So now main differences which you already noticed.


1)The Ranked is SWF only and Casuals are randoms only.


2)Ranked and Casual is BALANCED DIFFERENTLY. Which means that killers wont suffer SWF based on randms balance and randoms wont suffer killer based on SWF balance.


3)Less toxicity from playing more relaxed and good experience then stress to not knowing what survivors you will get.


Now hear me out. This game lore is about randoms getting stranded into the fog by Entinty, they dont know each other and in my opinion (lore wise) SWF is a DUMB feature, as i read lore, you dont see anyone next to you in campfire, thats why casual way would be how it supposed to be played. As survivors never interacted with each other outside of trials as far as i am aware off.


In my opinion SWF is great to group up with friends and have fun, but bullying the killer is not the way in my opinion, and same goes for the randoms. Ranked should be locked to SWF only as the game if played seriously should be true 1v4 and not 1v1. 1. 1. 1. (as it is with randoms)


I know it will propably never happens, but in my opinin it would solve a lot of game problems along with its toxicity.

    Or it will increase que times. Probably inrease que times.

    This game was never intended to have voice comms. That's mostly why SWF is OP. F13 had built in ones because they were meant to have it. I'm not sure 100% why SWF lobbies were introduced, probably because the Community requested it so much.

    I like your idea, but not everyone has friends on all at the same time to play a SWF ranked game, thats a problem.

    Also I've been in plenty of solo/duo games where the Killer was bullied by the randoms I was with while I was being chased. SWF can make it easier to be toxic, but there are still lots of toxic people in this game unfortunately.

    I think different game modes would be nice too

    I agree. This would definitely increase queue times. This game is already split between Killers/Survivors, Rank ranges (when local player population supports functional matchmaking), and Regions/Time Zones. I don't think we want or need even more splits.

    As other people mentioned.This playerbase isn't large enough to split it.Queue times are already a big problem in this game and would be even worse if ranked and casual modes would be added.

    It also doesn't stop toxic players to abuse the casual mode either anyway
