Skill checks/running on PS4

Hey,
I'm having issues with skill checks and running on PS4. I last played on Sunday or Monday and all was fine then. When I try to run or hit a skill check (hit L1) today, there's quite a big delay between pressing and the action happening on-screen, which is causing me to mess up checks and p*ss off other players. I've checked my ping and it isn't that.

Have you tried changing the button for sprinting and hitting skill checks (as it may be the L1 button).
