Aura Perk Slot

I've been lurking on the forums a bit recently and it seems like everyone is upset at the game. Survivors are upset, killers are upset, and apart from calls to nerf certain perks, the only thing most seem to agree on is that SWF unbalances the game.

I read a lot of suggestions about proximity based voice chat and expanded gesture systems and some other things, but I realised that the devs already put a large information tool in the game - Auras. It's just that people don't always use them.

So I'm going to put two ideas that are probably often suggested together and propose the idea of a 5th perk slot, solely for sole survivors, which I call the "Third Eye".

The Third Eye perk slot only accepts Aura perks that pertain to other players, whether that's Empathy or Bond or Kindred or whatever. Things like Detective's Hunch or Plunderer's Instinct wouldn't be allowed in it but perhaps Better Together or similar which are to help communication, would.

The main thing is this aura slot would only work in solo mode. In SWF it would be disabled.

I know that just sounds like straight up buffing survivors, but tbh that's kind of the point. The gap between SWF and Solo needs to be narrowed so Killers can be balanced more effectively.

However, a straight buff like that would not be ideal, so I had some ideas on balancing it. They are, either:

a) When a survivor is in a chase with the Killer, the Third Eye perk is disable for all survivors. (This is my favourite, since it's a natural counter to the aura but preserves its use during calm moments.)

b) Aura perks in the solo slot would be clamped to tier 1 levels - Bond at 20m, Aftercare on 1 Survivor etc.

c) Solo slot perks only work when not within the Killer's Terror Radius.

---

tl;dr version: Make a 5th perk slot for Solo that only accepts Aura perks that help you find other players. Balance it (a little) by having the whole team's 5th perk be disabled when any survivor is being chased.
