What does giving somebody a thumbs up do?

In the results screen, where you can give another player a thumbs up or report them. What does clicking thumbs up do for them?

    It gives them Props. As far as I can tell it doesn't really do anything obvious, maybe there's matchmaking in the background which puts you in with other players who are also given props at the end of the game.

    It doesn't actually have any effect, but I like to do it anyway in case they implement some kind of honour system in the future.
