Can't pick him up

I was playing on Hawkins the other day and downed a survivor while he was vaulting a dropped pallet. While i was breaking the pallet he crawled to a specific spot (he clearly knew about this), and it was impossible to pick him up. The prompt didn't even came up on the screen. Don't know if it's a known issue.
